Sean Day has American citizenship now. Yet TBD if he will be good enough to play on either country's national teams, but going forward it sounds like he prefers the US.

Is this recent news? I read an article about him a couple of months back stating he is only a Canadian Citizen, and does not have US citizenship.

He tweeted a few months ago about getting American citizenship and tweeted support for the American WJC team. Hopefully he can play for them before long.

I dont understand, what heppened to him? Exceptional status and all?

I remember the paul coffee comparisons from people on this board?????

I think most people here dont know what they are talking about or he was hyped

I find many american players are overhyped

This is so ironic. When he's a future stud, he's Canadian, but as soon as he's a future bust, it's "I find many American players are overhyped". Good stuff. Classic Canadian.

Well, at the least the user name fits.....

Whats wrong, did i hurt your americano cappucinno pride?

Go take a cup of coffee and relax

Its my opinion that overall americanooosssss are overhyped

See mcdavid eichellll

And same with mathews for a guy that is 1 year older than laine.

And about day, i was asking why the fall from grace????

Relax

See my post above bud

Relax

I was asking what happened to day and his fall???

Dont get your testies in a knot

You know, it is possible to ask what happened to Day without taking a shot at the US. I know, crazy concept.

We are aloud to post our opinions and if you want to take it the way you do then thats your problem

My opinion is that american players are overhyped

Lets move on

I agree, you are.

Think both American and Canadian posters should stick to their own threads if their sole purpose of going into the others is just to rattle cages.

They seem to take offense whenever you do not think every American player is Gods gift.

There is no rule saying anyone has to think every American player is great.

And as long as it is kept in a Canadian thread I think it's fair game.

JJ Cale was great. :handclap::handclap::handclap::handclap:

I don't agree with the poster you responded to but your comment "Classic Canadian" is just as bad.

Is this just a list of young Canadian defenceman? I don't see the correlation.

Yes

I want to see what our future holds in terms of defence

After weber after keith after doughty after pietrangelo etc

Tj brodie is over 23 so i didnt include him

Any chance we could get back to talking about the WJC?

Wow

This this tops everything now

In a canadian wjc thread I am being told to go back to talking about the wjc by a non canadian( cough cough american) i could say so much but ill hold my typing

Its not the point of me straying off subject its the point of being told what to do on a canadian thread by a non canadian(cough cough americano)

Maybe i should go on the american thread and do some trolling. But I have better things to do

The roster is shaping up fairly well. We'll see how the team does - but I have to say the roster looks better than I was imagining a few months ago.

at least your optimistic about it. Can't say I feel the same. a half-dozen serious players I see on the roster, beyond that there's not much.
