WJC U18 - Canada Roster Talk

If Kamloops gets knocked i'd think Pilon and Davidson would have a shot. Maybe long shots depending on who else is available and what type of players they're looking for with the last adds.

Jost and fabbro should be playing now, they were elimated from playoffs last night
 
Both the Brandon Wheat Kings and Sarnia Sting are down 2 to 0 in their playoff matchups, obviously both have good chances of coming back but if both lose we could add Nolan Patrick, Jacob Chychrun and Kale Clague as for sure players and maybe Tanner Kaspick, Stelios Matheos and Jordan Kyrou. With those guys Jost, Fabbro and the expected players we could take the silver( sadly we all know who will win the gold)

I guess it makes sense, since he can still maintain his eligibility to play for Team USA in the WJHC for next year, if Canada does not pick him for the Summer Roster. Maybe still bitter about getting cut from Team Canada's U18 team last year.

Are you talking about Antoine Samuel? He's too old to play.

He would be a strong candidate for the U.S. team next year. It's almost a 100% certainty he gets invited to the eval camp this summer.

I agree it is 100% he gets invited. I think Canada will invite him as well, but just like the Jake Walman decision last year, Brown would have a decision to make.

Agreed. I would saw it's a possibility he would be added for the u18s this year but the U.S. usually takes almost exclusively players from the USNTDP. I think last year the only non-member was Evan Sarthou (goalie from Tri-City Americans).
 
I wouldn't be penciling Jost into the lineup just yet. He played with a broken bone in his hand and a separated shoulder during the BCHL playoffs, which may keep him out of the tournament.

If Brown doesn't make the team for US, believe he would still have the option moving forward if he chose to do so. Not surprised he chose the US though since some of his best friends are on it.

Pascal Laberge, Antoine Morand, Evan Fitzpatrick and Maxime Comtois expected to be invited to the camp.
 
I'd imagine Stuart Skinner gets an invite a nd probably the first crack at the starters role since he was there last year.

has more to do with the fact that he was cut from the Hlinka team imo.

Comtois and Laberge from Victoriaville official now will take part in Canada U-18 camp in Calgary next week.
