Was at the game tonight. Electrifying crowd, much more so than Game 3 (I was there too). The Elliott chants were awesome. And King definitely had his best game since the playoffs last year. Lewis was awesome, as was Stoll, Martinez, Penner, etc etc. Whole team was rolling. Hitchcock's face after every goal is the most satisfying thing ever. And the goal's verbal flubbering of the goal call was absolutely hilarious.
Calling it now, repeat of 2001 first round. The Blues are deflated. We need to get the first goal in STL and it's over.
We need a youtube of Brown's effort on the GTG, one of the best individual efforts I've ever seen from a Kings player.
Brown willed the puck into the net on that one, a shift I will not soon forget.
That's why they're the champs
That 3rd period was the team that showed up for that epic run last year. Wonder if the Blues are now thinking, "What do we have to do to beat these guys?".
How did Muzzin and Ellerby look last night? I couldnt catch the game, it started too late for a school night.
Better. The only thing I ask from those two is that they don't make mind blowing mental errors and I didn't see any from either of them tonight. Muzzin was involved in the GTG and Ellerby was good when he was out there, clearing the zone. I think the addition of Martinez has helped too to take some pressure off of them.
I'm glad they did well. Ellerby has been ok the last two games from what I've heard

He played 5 minutes last night as opposed to 17 in game 1. Hard to suck when you play so little, unless you're Colin Fraser and manage to go -3 in less than 2 minutes of ice time.
To be fair though, the D corps as a whole surrendered more goals in game 4 than in any of the prior games. It was only because the offense came to life that we aren't talking about how bad the D was allowing 3 goals and how brutal the 1st period start was.
Amazing what happens when the offense wakes up a bit.
ROFL... when during the game did this occur? I'm out of town so I wasn't able to watch it live. I have it on the DVR though when I get back home.

same here but i decided to keep watching until the blues scored again. Luckily carter scored and i was hopefull again.I stayed up until 4 AM last night to watch the game, I was tired as hell and when the Blues opened the game with two goals in the first five minutes I lost my cool and just went straight to bed. This was a pleasant surprise to wake up to.
A lot of you guys are forgetting we lost the first two games of the series and we were dominated in the third and were lucky to escape with a win.
It's great we won but we had to come back twice in this game in order to do it. In addition, Elliott did not give up one soft goal...my friend and I commented how tough he was in goal tonight...all four goals by the Kings were earned.
I am now not so certain that Elliott is going to have a soft game in this series. He is playing dominant in goal. One can hope, however, that he softens up in game 5. That game is now the pivot point of the series. If the Kings can indeed bring it like they did in the third period of game 4, then we have a shot. But this is definitely not the same Blues team we faced last season.
Feels good, but the fact is these were games we should expect to win at home. We still need to win one on the road before it's all said and done.
That hit by Regehr on Reaves shook the entire building. Must have registered at least a 2.0 on the Richter scale. Jesus H. Christ.
