Gotta make a trip to Jack in the Box now.

Need to make a trip and get a Torta!

My heartbeat for this game was well around the hitting numbers for this series..what a game

Puhiii!!

I sure hope this is the Kings team showing up next game.

He was terrible at times, at times not. Last year he was straight out terrible all the time. It's tough.

This is an interesting conundrum. Glad it isn't my call.

The thing is, $3.25M isn't THAT much money for one year, especially as the cap inevitably goes up even after the temporary drop this year. To me, like Semin was for my team, this is likely up to him on whether he wants to stay a King or not. I guess 1 Year/3M or 2 Years/$2.5M per would do the trick: he probably lacks financial leverage due to the existence of a regular season :D

3m is pretty much the extent of the money the Kings have to improve the roster next year though. It's a really tough decision. Even if he was only paid 1.5 million (just an example), that pretty much leaves the other 1.5 to use on a trade deadline acquisition; there is no room on the roster for another 1.5 million player (grinder).

just back from the game - boy, was that fun! This team just never, ever quits. :yo:

NHL.com highlights are of the NBC feed with Forslund and Daryl Reaugh. Always good to hear Reaugh call a Kings game. Called the 3-3 tying goal a result of "neighborhood checking" by Berglund on Kopitar.

Which feed would you prefer? NBC or the other one? I'm watching GCL and I always choose the LA option but last year it was evident that is not always the best choice.

Any Idea?

I haven't tried the other one since I have to make the best of my time watching games before heading to work.

I sure hope this is the Kings team showing up next game.

You would hope so, they pretty much dominated for most of the 2nd and the whole 3rd. I think they showed that grit , guts and determination that came with the experience of last year's run. You can see how close this team is and how hard they all play for each other. That goes a long way.
They showed resilience that comes with having such a great group of veteran leaders and Sutter knows that.
I can't believe it's 2 am and I have to get up for work in 4 hours....but it was worth it.
I think they will take this momentum right into the next game and hopefully put up a full 60 minute game.

And I was glad to catch (in between periods) the Wings beat the Ducks in OT. Good for them to tie that series.

Penner, Kopitar, and Carter all score their first goal of the playoffs. Hopefully this is the start of something. Kopitar's goal was gift wrapped by Brown. Jeebus Mary what a pass.

Getting Martinez back in the lineup has been huge. He can skate the puck out of the zone, make outlet passes, knows when to pinch, and perhaps most importantly, knows how to get quick wrist shots to the net.

Real_ESPNLeBrun: Broken record I know but what a freaking series between StL and LAK. Wow.

Yes, isn't it though....and the 'hits' will keep coming on Wens...(over 340 hits thru 4 I think)

Anybody else notice in this game (and other playoff series) that the refs are dumping a lot of center out of the circle?

And the look on jackman's face in the penalty box is classic...

does anyone remember when kopi joked around about his slump in an interview saying he was waiting for brown to feed him backdoor to break out of his slump

Just returned from the game. Wow, what a blast. We blew the roof off that place tonight. I was lucky enough to be at game 3 of the finals and this was in the same ballpark in terms of palpable tension and boy did the Kings ever deliver for us tonight. It looks like Kopitar might be rising from the dead as well.

Was at the game tonight!!!! Just got home. Was in section 332 row 13 seat 22.
Pissed off Patty O'neil after the game. Called him a ducks fan.
He was a good sport and finally gave me a photo op. Had a blast!!!! Posting this on my phone. Great win!!!!

A Blues fan in their GDT said:
This game was lost before the puck drop when Hitch took out Cracknell.

That's right - the Blues lost because they didn't dress Cracknell - the 2-goal, 4-assist, 20-games-played Adam Cracknell.

It's almost like they didn't have a 2 goal lead in this game, and didn't have a lead going into the third - both of which were choked away/taken away by a Kings team that flat-out outplayed them in the second half of the game.

Oh no, it was CRACKNELL!!!! Shades of last year - when Andy MacDonald was going to be their saviour. I'm surprised Tonellis Ghost hasn't picked up on this yet.....

I also want to say how great the third line looked. So much energy. That nifty little play by Stoll to get the puck out of the zone, advance it down the ice on that three on one, and then feed it to Penner was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Simple but perfect.

Why wasn't Crackerjacks playing? Was he just a healthy scratch?
