Gotta make a trip to Jack in the Box now.
Need to make a trip and get a Torta!
Gotta make a trip to Jack in the Box now.
He was terrible at times, at times not. Last year he was straight out terrible all the time. It's tough.
This is an interesting conundrum. Glad it isn't my call.
3m is pretty much the extent of the money the Kings have to improve the roster next year though. It's a really tough decision. Even if he was only paid 1.5 million (just an example), that pretty much leaves the other 1.5 to use on a trade deadline acquisition; there is no room on the roster for another 1.5 million player (grinder). The thing is, $3.25M isn't THAT much money for one year, especially as the cap inevitably goes up even after the temporary drop this year. To me, like Semin was for my team, this is probably up to him on whether he wants to stay a King or not. I guess 1 Year/3M or 2 Years/$2.5M per would do the trick: he probably lacks financial leverage due to the existence of a regular season

NHL.com highlights are of the NBC feed with Forslund and Daryl Reaugh. Always good to hear Reaugh call a Kings game. Called the 3-3 tying goal a result of "neighborhood checking" by Berglund on Kopitar.

I sure hope this is the Kings team showing up next game.
We need a youtube of Brown's effort on the GTG, one of the best individual efforts I've ever seen from a Kings player.
Brown willed the puck into the net on that one, a shift I will not soon forget.
Penner, Kopitar, and Carter all score their first goal of the playoffs. Hopefully this is the start of something. Kopitar's goal was gift wrapped by Brown. Jeebus Mary what a pass.
Btw.. The kings need Martinez's ability to skate the puck whether they dress 7 d or not. I hope he stays in the lineup.
A Blues fan in their GDT said:This game was lost before the puck drop when Hitch took out Cracknell.
Why wasn't Crackerjacks playing? Was he just a healthy scratch? That's right - the Blues lost because they didn't dress Cracknell - the 2-goal, 4-assist, 20-games-played Adam Cracknell.
It's almost like they didn't have a 2 goal lead in this game, and didn't have a lead going into the third - both of which were choked away/taken away by a Kings team that flat-out outplayed them in the second half of the game.
Oh no, it was CRACKNELL!!!! Shades of last year - when Andy MacDonald was going to be their saviour. I'm surprised Tonellis Ghost hasn't picked up on this yet.....
