Trevor Lewis is playoff hockey! No wonder coaches all seem to love his game. Good skating and tenacious on the puck. Does all the little things that adds up.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him break out with 20 goals one year like Draper after 10 yrs in the league.

what a roller coaster of a game.

second line was much better. kopitar could still be better.

if penner keeps playing the way he does, i think the kings might resign him at a discount

Was at the game tonight. Electrifying crowd, much more so than Game 3 (I was there too). The Elliott chants were awesome. And King definitely had his best game since the playoffs last year. Lewis was awesome, as was Stoll, Martinez, Penner, etc etc. Whole team was rolling. Hitchcock's face after every goal is the most satisfying thing ever. And the goal's verbal flubbering of the goal call was absolutely hilarious.

Calling it now, repeat of 2001 first round. The Blues are deflated. We need to get the first goal in STL and it's over.

I said it in the GDT ...

This is the thing ... the Blues have a very good team, and they have played a great series to their credit ... but they just don't have this KICK IT UP GEAR that the Kings have and unleashed tonight ... good god I love this Team !!!!

Looks like Coach Hitchcock agrees with me ...

"They took the game to another level tonight, and we didn't have an answer," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. "We made two mistakes, two really poor mistakes to give them odd-man rushes to get them back in the game, but even when it was 3-2, they were playing better than we were. ... We didn't manage the puck very well in the second and third period really at all, and paid for it dearly."

I'm sure if we got into the mind of their Coach with this game, we got into the mind of their players, I don't see us losing to St. Louis again ! GO KINGS ! :yo:

Penner has got to be the most frustrating, lovable character that has ever worn a Kings' uniform. You just can't hate the guy, but damn I wish he would find the switch and turn it on for at least half the games in the regular season.

Voynov quietly had a very good game tonight. That kid competes and never gives up.

Tonight he and Martinez looked like had been paired together all season.

Darryl made some great moves the last few days.

- Dressing 7 D was genius. Other than a few screwups from Muzzin in Game 3, this has stabilized things a LOT.

- King-Richards-Williams looks like an effective line. That is a hard work group.

- Penner with Stoll and Lewis could be exactly what we need to get some secondary scoring.

Roll on Wednesday!

Yup, and when you don't have enough depth on RW, double shift your best wingers in that spot.

Staples was rocking tonight.

Great SportsCenter-type goals by the Kings in the first period. St. Louis defense really broke down for at least three out-numbered attacks that I remember in the first; Kings scoring on two of them.

That hit by Regehr on Reaves shook the entire building. Must have registered at least a 2.0 on the Richter scale. Jesus H. Christ.

Those mistakes reminded me of a few they made during last years series. All that was missing was a shorthanded breakaway goal.

I heard an interview with kopitar when he was still a kings prospect... I think it was with Hacksaw.. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that's how it is pronounced. Maybe a Slovenian can chime in. If you listen euro games, that is how it sounds.

Yeah, its how all the Slovenians pronounce it too, with the emphasis on the (i) as in (eee). Billy Jaffe pronounced it correctly, WE are all pronouncing it incorrectly.

This was last years kings offense today. Sheer power and relentless. If we pplay like this we will handle the blues the next two games. The blues only have a top gear that doesn't guarantee them goals because their players aren't finishers. We have a higher gear because we have finishers and man when the kings smell blood they ravage

Also just to point out.. Doughty is amazing. Taking hits to makes plays and saving Quicks ass when the net was open today. I think he's best in the league at absorbing hits. It's crazy how well he takes hits for a guy with an average build.

There is not a defenseman in the NHL I'd take over Doughty. He's the most complete defenseman in the NHL and he's going to be putting much more points next season when our defense is healthy. Karlsson has nothing on him.
