So no, he very much does not have a great shot, quite the opposite actually. He's never scoring 40 goals in a season.

I don't know how people don't understand that even if he scores a couple goals in tight the shot is still a problem. Same as Rielly's big goal season, it doesn't change the fact that the opponent plays you as if your shot is not a threat (because it isn't). Nobody is going to forego putting two guys on Matthews just because Marner can sometimes score from the hashmarks if enough bodies are in front of the net and you give him time and space. Nobody is going to devote players to preventing Rielly from getting a good shooting lane from the point, they can let him shoot freely and focus on containing Tavares/Matthews in front.

Honestly, the CHL guys get hurt a bit by the length of time teams have to decide if they will sign them. It doesn’t affect the higher end picks but the players who generally would be 4-7 rounders get hurt by it a bit, where there isn’t a length of time really for a high school or ushl player. Hardie is much better than Miller, if Miller plaued in the OHL no chance he was a pick.

Who is the player who has been now with marner and 34#? Bunting or Ritchie, Nick?
 
Interested in how the lines look. Assuming the Robertson-Abramov-Steeves line stays considering how how good they were in development camp. It might be a Marlies line but don't know if Moore would want such a young line so we'll see.
Moore said Kral's injury isn't serious and could play in the tournament.
