Yep. He's not Marlies/AHL eligible so looks like he got "cut".

They aren't there due to the USHL starting up soon. Rochette isn't AHL eligible so he likely got "cut". Not sure about Kral, but might be injury related.

I think I can comfortably (albeit ignorantly) say that I would have much preferred Hardie to Miller, and Moore to Fusco in the 2020 draft, almost a mulligan if we offered an ELC but the others could still pan out.

Kressler would be ballsy, I wonder how closely we had him ranked to Voit

Marner has a great shot in the right scoring area for him. He could be a 40 goal scorer one day. He was on a 30 goal pace last year. He has a decent shot selection idea and accuracy. It’s not a heavy shot but it is improved quite a bit since his rookie year for sure.
I hope he drives the ice in the slot harder and picks up some power in his skating to allow himself to burst through to them areas.
The minutes are ridiculous. Less or no penalty killing might be the best way to cut that back.

13 of Marners 20 goals last year were scored from inside the hash marks, 3 of those 13 goals were off of shots against a goalie, the other 10 were either tap-ins or goals into an empty net or a vacated net where the goalie wasn't back into position. The 7 goals that he scored from outside the hash marks, at least 5 of them were deflected. He probably only beat a goalie clean once in the entire year.

So no, he very much does not have a great shot, quite the opposite actually. He's never scoring 40 goals in a season.

I don't know a lot about Kressler. Do you say ballsy because of his size?

It's gotta be so tough to evaluate these kids after having missed their second OHL year. The 2nd year usually tells you a lot more than the rookie season at that age.

I say ballsy because of your para 2 haha. ELC off of nothing but 18 points in 46 OHL games (Plus an assumed good 3 weeks in rookie and main camp) is definitely a gamble, to say the least.

Your comparison to Voit makes a lot of sense. Two players in similar positions. I'm interested to see how Voit does in the rookie tournament.

I wouldn't draw such conclusions... just that it's not formal training, as in scheduled, but optional. They might be there, or not... I don't know. Nothing said either way.
