I think those comments would have gone a lot further for them at the end of season presser.
Yup but the PR department didn’t have enough time to come up acceptable commentsI think those comments would have gone a lot further for them at the end of season presser.
Good comments from both.
They may have had interest but Reynolds was never on the Leafs dev camp roster.Wasn't Peter Reynolds invited to the camp ? I see him with Colimbus

Still young men, disappointed with having lost... sometimes it takes time to fully focus your thoughts, and explain them. I'm sure we've all experienced that. They've both been winners before, at various levels... they want to win. It doesn't mean that they know how to, or will ever learn, but it's not for a lack of will. In Marner's case, it might actually be trying to do too much, and not sticking to his game, or what works.
Marner gets too cute too often, needs to simplify, and work on his shot.
More than that, cut his minutes way the hell back. Final 4 teams in the playoffs did not have their top forwards averaging more than 20 minutes a night.
Is that because the talent was more spread out or because they were managing TOI?
Let's see how Tampa manages their top two lines this year now since their third line is basically the fourth line now.
Point averaged 18:55, I don't think they'll let it get to stupid levels.
The third line got 2nd line minutes last years (~16/17 mins).
So you are expecting a third line (my best guess) of Colton - Baree-Boulet - Joseph to average about 17 minutes a game?
Or are you expecting the fourth line of Maroon - Bellemare - Perry to average more time?
Here is who they lost and how much they played
Gourde - 17:36
Coleman - 16:10
Goodrow - 17:05
Johnson - 10:06
Perry will likely fill in the time for Johnson, but do you expect the new third/fourth line to make up those extra minutes, or do you think the top 2 lines will get more time?
I think their bottom 6 will surprise with a slight bump to their top 6 TOI.
Interesting... to me, if it weren't for Vasilevskiy, I'd say this team has no chance at the cup, and I suspect they will have to rely heavily on the top 6 since that bottom 6 is terrible.
They're similar to us with the exception they have the best goalie in the league in net. Similar as in, if their top 6 is putting the puck in the net, they will go far. They're/we're not going to lose 4 times in 7 games if their top 4 players are killing it.Interesting... to me, if it weren't for Vasilevskiy, I'd say this team has no chance at the cup, and I suspect they will have to rely heavily on the top 6 since that bottom 6 is terrible.
Agreed, playing top line mins, plus pp and pk is insane.......take him off the PKMarner gets too cute too often, needs to simplify, and work on his shot.

Dear ,
The past 18 months have presented enormous challenges in all of our lives, and we look forward to being able to return to the activities we love and have missed. For all of us at MLSE, that means welcoming you, our valuable members, back to cheer on our beloved Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena and having your energy and support to make this building, once again, one of the most exciting venues in sports and entertainment.
We continue to work closely with government, public health officials and our fans to ensure a safe return to our venues, including an announcement last week that all attendees entering MLSE’s venues (except children 11 and under) will be required to provide proof of full vaccination prior to entry into the arena. With our enhanced public health and safety measures, we are optimistic regarding our ability to host full capacity events at Scotiabank Arena for the 2021-22 season as we await confirmation on permitted venue capacities. We plan to unveil updated fan health and safety protocols in the coming weeks and should there be any changes to our plans for venue capacity limits and health and safety protocols, we will be sure to communicate those details to you at that time.
In preparation for the start of the 2021-22 season, our Member payment plan program will resume beginning on Friday, October 8th, 2021. Please see instructions below to select and activate your Membership payment plan.
Marner has a great shot in the right scoring area for him. He could be a 40 goal scorer one day. He was on a 30 goal pace last year. He has a decent shot selection idea and accuracy. It’s not a heavy shot but it is improved quite a bit since his rookie year for sure.Marner gets too cute too often, needs to simplify, and work on his shot.

I guess Rochette and Guevin didn't impress? I see Hardie has made the roster which is cool.
Too bad Rochette, Gustafsson, and Guevin didn't make the final cuts. Kral might be injured, but sounds like he had a disappointing showing overall
They aren't there due to the USHL starting up soon. Not sure about Kral, but might be injury related. Also not sure about Rochette.
USHL season starts soon so thats why they aren't there. Kristen noted Kral missed the Monday scrimmage so assuming he's hurt.Too bad Rochette, Gustafsson, and Guevin didn't make the final cuts. Kral might be injured, but sounds like he had a disappointing showing overall
