Robertson is waiver exempt right? For this reason he’s bound to start on the Marlies to give other guys a look with the big team. But if he impresses enough as he seems to be doing it’d be awesome if he makes the team.

There were a lot of people who seemed upset that Bunting maybe a top 6 player because he is unproven while also criticising Dubas for trading 1st line LW Marchment and his outstanding 37 game career.
Dam, even I’m ready to give him a try, it’s not like we have a lot of choices.
I hope he brings what they need

Unless he lights the world on fire.. pretty safe bet to start with the Marlies.

Nylander - Matthews - Kase
Robertson - Tavares - Marner
Kase basically hasn’t played in a couple years. I like them lines if he comes in to camp healthy. If kase is healthy and stays healthy for the entire year it would be great.
I don’t even have him ready until i hear otherwise. They won’t risk anything if he feels the least bit uncomfortable. I wouldn’t mind seeing him eased in with 3rd line minutes so he could get his rhythm and timing back. That might build his confidence better having some success against a slightly lower quality of competition to start at least.
I like Matthews Marner broken up too. The days of fixed lines hopefully is over. Marner and Tavares actually complimented each other better in many ways. It was fun to see and they will get pp time together and random shifts on a super line etc.

Keefe needs to break that apart. Most stagnant hockey I’ve seen from both regardless of how well they produced. They play better games personally apart.

No need to exaggerate. Kase missed last year, not two years.

What do you consider 'a lot'? I can't imagine more than one or two (if any) having that specific thought, seems made up.

To me that signals (if Bunting stays there) that Kerfoot is likely a C, which makes me happy, didn't want Kampf at 3C
Kampf is a defensive specialist that hasn’t produced very much offensively for some reason but has been go to guy defensively and thrives in the past.
I really don’t know anything about the guy and look forward to seeing what he plays like. I still don’t have a pulse on the bottom 6 and likely won’t until around 20 games in to the season.
That said, Robertson might force a decision on the left side top 6 and push Bunting in to the bottom 6. That would signal our bottom 6 coming in to form nicely. We need them energy guys with some attitude rounding out the bottom.

Robertson looks better than when he played for the Leafs before. His release and skating and energy is dominating the rookie camp. Fingers crossed it transfers to main camp well.

Like I said, we know his injury history, but there's no need for you to exaggerate it.
Exaggerate..... he’s been useless and in and out of lineup since the end of 2018 where he made it 2 weeks in to 2019 Hes been hurtin a long time. He’s not produced anything close to 1 st line numbers in four year minimum. This guy is bottom 6 depth. I can’t take it seeing him inserted in the top 6 any longer.
I have my doubts he even starts the season.

He has been battling concussions a very long time cat. Don’t try minimizing it. He had 7 goals in 49 games last semi healthy year too. Thats not 1 st line material. I was trying to be civil but now I’m not. It’s a complete joke you put him on the first line or anywhere near the top 6
I wouldn't read too much into his stats. He did play on a low scoring ducks team. The last 82 game season, the Leafs scored 90 more goals for comparison. They haven't had a player eclipse a 60 pt pace in 3 years.

He's had health issues and has missed a lot of time. Who knows if he will be top 6er but he does have some skill and could be a good compliment to either the AM or JT line.

You did exaggerate it. You said he's barely played in two years when he played 55 games in 2019-2020 and then 11 more in the playoff bubble.

Everyone knows he is injury prone, zeke is just commenting on how you exaggerated his number of games played over 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.

The guy is not a top 6 winger. If he’s healthy and it’s a big if he will add nice depth in the bottom 6 and thats great. He has 55 games since mid jan 2019. When he did play he produced little.
