Pitlick to Flames?

Yeah I think it was Friedman that mentioned that.

Up to 6 deals would be a nice start to end the freeze. Some hockey analysts were saying don't expect much but some were saying it could be 6 to 10 deals. :dunno: who knows

Good and they should. Rooting for both of them.

I still think Anderson vs. Simmonds.

Brooks vs. Semyonov.

Robertson vs. Galchenyuk and another top 6 LW.

Robertson will probably have the most trouble winning. I don't think Galchenyuk is going to give up his spot that easily.

Maybe Gally won't but I have really high hopes for Robertson. Saw him play live in the OHL. Way ahead of anyone on the ice.

Way different in the NHL forsure but I think he could win a job.

If someone is taken in the expansion draft can they be traded back to the same team with some retention? I..e leafs trade pick for McCain at 50% retention grabbing a super cheap LW they can toss in the top 6

He said veteran is plan B.
This is great news.

So perhaps Ian Cole?

I just don't know how many Bogosian-quality guys there are who are willing to take a #7 job. If they wanted that kind of guy, they probably have to move Dermott and give that guy a full time job beside Liljegren (or Sandin).

Tucker Poolman is the guy I have penciled in right now for #7, but he is not experienced and he is a decent #6 at best. Would be a perfect #7 though. Same goes for Jani Hakanpaa. Bring a bit of bite but they don't have the veteran leadership.

Give me Hakanpaa or Nemeth as a depth guy and I think the defense is fine. Not sure if either would sign here but great to see that he admitted blocking Sandin/Liljegren but they're going to start to get them regular NHL ice time.

Ian Cole would command a pretty decent contract no?

Would love it if he came cheap though.

Need more players who could shoot the puck on the PP...2 guys like Marner and Rielly with muffin shots are pretty restrictive on the same PP unit...so only 3 guys who could shoot vs 4 defenders? That doesn't sound like a winning formula.
1st unit with matthews and nylander on opposite sides as shooters

2nd unit with JT net front with marner feeding down low to point or net
