How does Wennberg go to Florida and start scoring?

Was Torts really a roadblock to offense in Columbus?

I would not be sad to see Wennberg as Leafs 3rd. line center.
Some teams just don't score. Columbus and Arizona are teams I would look to acquire players from because their numbers are deflated there. Same thing used to be said about Carolina, remember when Lindholm went from there to Calgary and he blew up?

No to Virtanen... this team needs as little baggage as possible.... how about Jones though? Is he really that terrible now?

If Robertson could break through a bit this year Leafs really just need a top LW and a solid 1b.

Problem is Leafs don't know how ready Robertson is.

I'm glad the doors aren't closed on Nick Foligno. He got injured at the worst possible time. I think it left a sour taste in his mouth that of how quickly the leafs playoffs ended.

I would be fine bringing him back as a 3rd line LW. He's still a physical presence when healthy. Which this team badly needs.

Leafs still need to acquire a top 6 Power FOrward, however. Someone like a Tyler Bertuzzi or an Evander Kane

He wasn't good at all. I hate to say I told you guys... but I had a feeling he wouldn't be very good. And he wasn't. Taylor Hall on the other hand... Anyway...

I'd give Foligno whatever the Leafs were going to give Hyman to him on a 1 or maybe 2 year contract... that's about it. He'll probably get a 3-4 year contract from a team like Minny.

Well like I said...he got injured at the worst possible time. It's leaf luck. He actually looked good the first couple of game when he was first acquired

Minnesota looks like a team we could possibly trade with. They've lost Suter and SOucy on the left side of their defense. And Ian Cole is a UFA.

Would they be interested in Dermott? Would love to get a deal around Greenway.

They're also looking at Centers reportedly...they might have interest in Kerfoot

Taylor Hall was good? Guess you werent watching the Bruins playoffs all that much. He was an absolute disaster against NYI and a huge defensive liability.

Although the lower price tag and secondary scoring wouldve been nice

I find it really strange that with the trade freeze lifting at 1pm it’s been radio silent so far on rumours of Seattle’s supposed side deals
Francis said yesterday there aren't as many as you would expect.

One has already been leaked, however. Tyler Pitclick is being traded to Calgary for a Mid-Round pick

For the price and contributions, yeah... he was much better than Foligno.

They are definitely going to be hunting in free agency.

I'd trade them Dermott for a 2nd round pick. Seems fair value. They have 2x1st rounders and 2x3rd rounders.

Martin Jones was bought out by San Jose.

There is more competition on the market for Andersen.

Was he at least not damaged goods and actually play games on the ice?

Then yeah, Hall being a cheaper acquisition and actually available to play was an infinitely better use of assets than Foligno.

Greenway might be a stretch, but he is exactly what were looking for.

I think the Leafs mention is to bump his value with other suitors. Not coming back.

Personally, I would push for their 2022 2nd and #86.

I think guys with that kind of contract + potential can get that kind of return. Otherwise, it makes sense for the Leafs to just keep him.

Mirco Mueller was a year younger with no real NHL resume when picked up a 2nd + 4th (while being attached to a 5th). Dermott has a serious NHL resume and is a much better bet.
