Bobrovsky makes zero sense to me. Rumours are he's after like 6 years X $7M? I wouldn't even take him at half of that, for 3 years X $3.5M. He was a BAD starter last year, and is 38 years old this training camp.
Hildeby is a wild card and Stolarz is often injured.
Not surprised that the Leafs feel they need a goalie, with so much pressure to be competitive next year.
Don’t mind Bobrovsky, but wouldn’t give him much term.
getting really nervous this maybe related to Nurse.Marek made an offhand remark (simple one liner with no context) about rumours of Rielly to Edmonton.
He just threw it out during conversation and moved on.
Take that as you will.
It doesn't have to be Bob. Could be Binnington. I would be very surprised if the leafs don't get another goalie.I don't see it happening.
I don't think it's crazy talk at all about the goalie situation. Going into a important season with Stolarz/Beast/AA Combo would be disastrous. Storlarz is going to get hurt, and you're going to rely on two rookie goalies to make up 50 to 55 games. This goaltending thing is crazy talk. So is trading Knies really, the odds someone will bend over and give us the deal we want is pretty slim.

I think Toronto actually needs to trade Stolarz and find another goalie that can stay healthy in a tandem with beast. It's a good problem to have then next season if you need to trade a goalie because you have one too many good ones.
That would be difficult to pull off. But he is one of the few to not have an awful relationship with Babcock, so...Marek made an offhand remark (simple one liner with no context) about rumours of Rielly to Edmonton.

Stolarz could very well be the one that is traded. One of the two of them will be. The Leafs aren't going to waste a Cup contending season relying on Stolarz and Hildeby as their tandem.Nothing would shock me too much, it's possible, but I don't see it happening unless Stolarz is the one to go.
We'll see.

Highly interested here.. would fit the bill as a 3C with 2C upside that’s needed
Wonder what the cost is

Funny how Seattle is pushing out a high-upside guy they haven't given a chance to, but keep brining in middle-6 guys. Poor Beniers.
Adding a better goalie won't destroy their cap structure.Destroying their cap structure to put even more cap or wasting more assets into your goaltending doesn't strike me as competent either.
