Bobrovsky makes zero sense to me. Rumours are he's after like 6 years X $7M? I wouldn't even take him at half of that, for 3 years X $3.5M. He was a BAD starter last year, and is 38 years old this training camp.

It makes no sense, but I'd assume a lot more changes would happen at that point. Friedman is the best in the biz so I'll respect the information, but I'm questioning it heavily.

Yeah, those rumors about Bob are another example of a player agent linking a player to Toronto to raise the players profile and thus price. Going off Bob makes no sense whatsoever. Terrible asset management.

The Hellebuyck rumors are worthless too, he's clearly going down south and probably wants to go to a team with no state tax. I don't believe the Leafs are kicking tires seriously.

All the latest Leafs rumors sound like National Enquire stuff these days.

Hildeby is a wild card and Stolarz is often injured.

Not surprised that the Leafs feel they need a goalie, with so much pressure to be competitive next year.

Don’t mind Bobrovsky, but wouldn’t give him much term.

The only way for me to make sense of the Bobrovsky interest is to punt Stolarz, not Hildeby.

Bobrovsky is reportedly asking for a max term deal, or at the very least 5 years. Will he get it? What he wants and what he gets are obviously not always happening. But the Panthers walking away from that should be a big sign.

This goaltending thing is crazy talk. So is trading Knies really, the odds someone will bend over and give us the deal we want is pretty slim.
I don't think it's crazy talk at all about the goalie situation. Going into a important season with Stolarz/Beast/AA Combo would be disastrous. Storlarz is going to get hurt, and you're going to rely on two rookie goalies to make up 50 to 55 games.

I think Toronto actually needs to trade Stolarz and find another goalie that can stay healthy in a tandem with beast. It's a good problem to have then next season if you need to trade a goalie because you have one too many good ones.

It blows my mind why this would be a disastreous issue to go with a goaltender you spent a few years developing, who showed promise, and keeping your AHL MVP as your #3. Wanna guess how many games Jakob Dobes and Brandon Bussi played in their first full seasons?

How do teams develop and promote goaltenders? Just trade AA right now if there isn't some ability to let him be in the NHL in the near future.

Stolarz isn't perfect but he's signed and when he's on he's typically quality. That's the guy to punt if you want to add a more reliable veteran.

Nothing would shock me too much, it's possible, but I don't see it happening unless Stolarz is the one to go.

We'll see.
Stolarz could very well be the one that is traded. One of the two of them will be. The Leafs aren't going to waste a Cup contending season relying on Stolarz and Hildeby as their tandem.

Destroying their cap structure to put even more cap or wasting more assets into your goaltending doesn't strike me as competent either.

Highly interested here.. would fit the bill as a 3C with 2C upside that’s needed

Wonder what the cost is

Seems like a good fit for us. Not sure we're good trading partners though.

This roster needs blue line improvement and upgrades up front before considering being any kind of contender
