What I meant by the Carolina comment, was they got lucky the goaltending was strong for them this year when they needed it. Of course their play on the ice was dominant, one of the best teams I’ve seen in years. But you still need goaltending and a waiver claim won them the cup. That’s a bit of luck going with a great team.Vegas didn't exactly have great goaltending either, although I guess Hill wasn't cheap. Not sure I'd call Carolina lucky, they dominated.
I don't disagree with you, but I think a team like Florida will probably see it that way. They'll still sign someone like Skinner or whatever.
