Yup. It's gonna be quiet for us. No real cap space to work with. Expecting a bottom pairing Dman and nondescript winger will be it.Todays prediction.
Islanders unloaded to save cap space - none.
Trades-none.
Free agent signing- a guy we never heard of.
I think it would be a different story if the Islanders were fresh off two final four appearances. Last season really sucked.
Besides the other reasons mentioned here JT always said how he wanted to spend his career with one team be the face of the franchise, etc..Wondering if JG is going to get booed as much as JT when he returns to Calgary.
We literally just lost two of our oldest players and are getting younger. i doubt Lou brings back chara or greene btwPredication is that Lou continues the trend to make us the oldest team in hockey and having a poor cap. Oyvey
Chapin, that's some very very very wishful thinking.

You’re more likely to see Tarasenko traded (since he wants to be) to open up space for Perron to return to STL.there really better be a plan B. We gotta get David Perron if possible
yet that still hasn't hapened. Kadri to Seattle feels more likelyWatch NYR sign Kadri and then, like they always manage to do, magically clear some space and trade for Patrick Kane.
I hope so. Tarasenko fits NYI much better than Perron. It's not only his goal scoring, but his ability to play low in the offensive zone fits the role he could play on Barzal's line. Also, that big left shot fits NYI's PP need much better than a right shot. I don't see the expiring contract as a bad thing, because I am also hedging on NYI. If things don't work out for the team, he's a deadline asset as NYI make a decision about how to move forward. It all depends on cost. If the cost is Wahlstrom + Beauvillier, great. If the demand involves Raty or 2023 first rounder, forget it.You’re more likely to see Tarasenko traded (since he wants to be) to open up space for Perron to return to STL.
Would be nice to add another Russian as well and Tarasenko’s term is more favorable.I hope so. Tarasenko fits NYI much better than Perron.
