It makes complete sense.

Trade him for assets, take a step back for a season, then use those assets to be better in the not so distant future. Running it back with this same group will lead to similar results and Nelson is so old that even if they did bring in a top tier talent he won't be around for longer than a run or two anyway. Us this as an opportunity to get younger.

This would shoot down the dollar and a dream, can't win it if you're not in it approach. All we need is one miracle Blues run....

I agree with this approach. Trading nelson now makes no sense. Theyre trying to get better.

The previous 3 posts did an excellent job or detailing why trading Nelson is actually a smart move, but if you don't understand, or see, the big picture I could understand why one would think trading Nelson is bad.
