They probably are, but Seider is a better prospect. I'm a huge Lundkvist fan, but Seider this season has been phenomenal. I would never really compare Seider to Lundkvist. Different drafts. different paths.

I was at the draft in Vancouver and Seider was a huge reach on draft day but damn, has he proven the doubters wrong. I'd probably still put him 6th ahead of Turcotte but behind Zegras. Great pick by Detroit.

Lundkvist broke records left and right, exceeded expectations. Both are great prospects and IMO top-3 prospects outside the NHL right now. I think they're closer than Red Wings fans want to admit. Gun to my head, I take Seider over Lundkvist but getting Lundkvist at 28 is a steal.

yzermans #1 off season priority is finding the right vet dman to pair with seider . wether its a ufa signing such as edler or martinez . or a trade who knows . but for now detroit doesnt have the proper player on the roster and yzerman wont let it stay that way .

I think both fanbases are very happy with their pick, as both have exceeded expectations.

I've watched quite a bit of SHL action this season and I think Nils would be a perfect partner for Moritz. (On the redwings of course )

It all started when a Rangers fan or two came into Buttons prospect ranking thread and claimed Lundkvists season last year was better than Seiders which isnt true. It kinda spiralled from there and had fans of both teams jumping in.

Lundkvists season last year was great, but it wasnt comparable to Seiders dominance on both ends of the ice. Expect some smart ass comments for a bit about that

both right shot . i see it as hronek 1st unit , seider 2nd or 3rd . im hoping yzerman adds a left shot dman to play on 1st unit with hronek , and another left shot for seider as i want the defense to start stabilizing . maybe seiders on 3rd unit with a re-signed staal as his mentor . and maybe martinez or edler signed to play 1st unit with hronek . its my hope all 3 of these vet ufa dmen are signed so detroit can establish a concrete system to be taught by these vets to the young d soon coming up such as seider - johansson-tuomisto-mcissac-and maybe power etc

Thank you... I don't follow Wing's closely enough (although, little Czech colony forming now).. was hoping it'd be Hronek-Seider. Seider is going to be amazing. I think Wing's will be soon too.

He is undoubtedly by almost everyone considered a top 5 prospect, and about to win SHL D of the year at 19 years old.
