Bucs keep G Brederson (3 years, 22 million), sign pass rusher Haason Reddick (1 year, 14 million), oh and they're keeping some guy named Chris Godwin for 3 more years(66 million)!

The offense is completely set, and the Bucs have 4 picks in the top 120 at thus year's draft. While they could still add some defensive help in free agency, each of these top 4 picks should be defense (edge or CB in rd 1, likely the other in rd 2, or LB, and then filling in other spots for depth rds 3 and 4). Hopefully, Godwin's re-signing ends all these mocks I've been seeing where the Bucs take a WR in rd 1, which would be incredibly stupid.

I wouldn't blow my lid if we spent a pick on an offensive lineman in like round 2 or something. You can't be too prepared. But we really do need to hit on at least 3 more players at corner, linebacker and defensive line. 1 each. -even with Reddick signed.

And for f***s sake send JTS to the moon and get us someone who can either cover or get to the QB. Dude can't do either

Much better chances of hitting on defensive players in rds 1 and 2, preferably at CB and edge in some combo, that can step in and be productive players from day 1. An o-line depth guy maybe in round 3 or 4 could be fine, but the defense, especially pass rusher and corner, needs to be priority.

If W Johnson falls we gotta move up to pick him. After that, LB LB LB
They need at least one more quality edge rusher. Maybe grab a LB in rd 2 if that's bpa, but edge and CB are bigger needs. There are a couple of the hybrid edge/OLB types, so maybe one of them.

You're right. But my logic was more based on that we have at least been hitting on offensive linemen after dumping a dozen picks into defense that never pan out no matter when we pick them.

I don't care what they do and when in the draft. No more Halls and JTS's

There are 3, maybe 4 CB's that wouldn't be terrible at 19. Of course Johnson from Michigan would be ideal, but I doubt he gets past 11 or so. The Bucs could take Barron from Texas, Hairston from Kentucky or the player from Notre Dame whose name escapes me atm. There's also Jalon Walker as an edge/LB combo, Mykel Williams, Mike Green, James Pearce, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Nic Scourton at edge and Jihaad Campbell at LB. Any of them would be good 1st round picks. With the depth in this draft class on the defensive side, I don't see the Bucs losing any value picks to trade up.

Yeah, both of those were reaches and busts, but they still weren't as bad as taking a kicker with an extra 2nd round pick that year....

I know the center they took last year played well, but I was still very, very disappointed on draft day. The player I had been targeting for them for a while was there and at a position of great need, and they let him go on by. That player was Cooper DeJean, who had an okay rookie year I guess...
