Sorry Fatal, I won't debate with you after making such an asinine statement.

What did I even say that was wrong?

You can't refute what I said regarding the breakdowns, or the save percentage of goaltenders on breakaways (which I'm sure isn't 90%), so you said it was an asinine statement?

Good job refuting.

Now when ever I disagree with someone, I'll just call them asinine. Apparently that is more efficient than actually rebuking what they said.

Stepan has consistently shown the ability to totally disappear for large portions of games. Torts had to light a fire under his ass last yr to get him to respond. The kid glides around like it's a ****en pickup game. How he ever made the Olympic squad is a joke and a travesty considering the snubs.

This team desperately needs a legit #1 center.

Look I've said it since his rookie year he's not a 1C, you can only get by on IQ for so long. Truth is he's a lousy skater, has a lousy shot, and is weak. Just stare at him and he'll give up his lunch money.

It's the refs' fault the Rangers couldn't produce good chances because they allowed Tampa to grab, hold, cling onto, shove, push and generally act like ****ing monkeys on defense.

Go post this on the main boards and see the reaction

I think Stepan can be a great 2C; especially with his IQ. However, I just don't think he has the speed, shot, and elusiveness to be a #1 center.

You can pinpoint a breakdown on every goal. At he end of the day, your goalie has to make the big stop. Bishop did all night. To be fair, the goal should have been stopped 9 out of 10 times.

I don't understand some HF poster's absolute refusal to give offensive players any credit. I mean, i get that watching just the rangers play for the past few years may have inspired this line of thought with their lack of creativity, but players aren't just paid to block shots and play defense.

Bishop on the TBL feed said the ref made a comment on the Zucc tripping, that he didn't make the call because from his point of view Zucc skated into Bishop's stick. But I'm not so sure about that.

If we expect to make the playoffs, we have to win games like these.

The Metro isn't easy anymore. Every team is coming at us hard. Flyers and Devils just won. If Detroit + Toronto turn it around, we probably miss the playoffs. It's 48 games in, there are no more moral victories. This team has to win a lot of games to keep a playoff spot.

Rangers were grabbing on and interfering just as much

Hags set up a ****ing pick on Richards goal ROFL

LOL, ref be blind. Time to hang up the skates

Bishop is just on fire this year. most likely a vezina winner. The guy has talent size and athleticsim. The 2nd goal was the killer. I mean St Louis tried teh same exactly play a few shifts before and DZ and Moore were caught sleeping

A little too much doom in here for my taste.

Frustrating loss, that I understand. But we played well. Let's chin up here.

interestingly Rooney was the ref here in the anisimov gun shooting incident.

Two days short of the five year anniversary of the Dean Morton and Mike Hasenfratz crime in Chicago, on 1-16-09. They called 12 penalties on the Rangers in one of the worst officiated games in history. Great game Dean. Rooney s__ks and you left your whistle in your locker.

Bishop is a *******. Acts like he gets shot when the stick only touched his shoulder and it was his own man's stick. Then Kreider is playing the loose puck and Bishop acts like his hand got chopped and *****es at the ref non stop. Then that trip on Zucc at the end, wtf. I don't think I've ever disliked a goalie so much from one game. I might be biased because I hate this new trend of monster goalies. He makes saves that he has no business making just because he's 6'7. That's what coaches look for now, a goalie who is 511-6'0 is considered undersized, they just want 6'4+ guys that they can teach technique to because the percentage of the puck hitting them is so much higher.

The officiating was atrocious. The amount of picks, interference, holding and overall obstruction by Tampa was infuriating. Just very angering. It's not blaming the refs for the outcome, just the fact that they let the Lightning get away with so much obstruction, that it just encouraged them to do it more.

Frustrating game because just no bounces went our way. Very unfortunate. A bunch of posts and pucks bouncing the wrong way. At least we outplayed them, so they momentum from the streak isn't entirely lost.

Richards looked very, very good. He was all over the place.
