I'm looking for a similar PPG rate that Seth Jarvis and Cole Perfetti had in their first full NHL years (both had 0.59 PPG; Jarvis in 21-22, Perfetti in 22-23). Also, I picture Rossi leaning into more of the playmaking vs goalscoring than those 2.

Not taking into account Gaudreau-Foligno as linemates BECAUSE I think he will see time as the season progresses up and down the lineup with Boldy and maybe Kaprizov due to injuries, lineup shakeups etc. That will balance out the lack of scoring from the grinders.

But I will adjust for not a full season, say 68 games = at .59PPG expecting 40pts (+/= 5 pts), 10g (0.5GPG) - 30a (0.45APG).

I like your thinking, but your numbers are too round for me. I'll go 11g-28a in 69 games.

That would be pretty incredible, since the 5 forwards Jarvis spent the most time with were Aho, Svechnikov, Teravainen, Trocheck and Necas; and for Perfetti, it was Wheeler, Scheifele, Dubois and Connor.

I'm not all that confident in major lineup shakeups.

Just a question for these Rossi stat lines. How is he getting 25+ assists on a line with Foligno/Freddy G and playing PP2? 3a pp, 3a d-man goals, and 20a from on Freddy G/Foligno goals?
Honestly wasn’t going that deep into it. Just shooting high, I’d rather not be realistic at the moment and say 10 total points as setting the bar that low just feels saddening.

An Athletic rookie point projections article from a few weeks ago had:
- Rossi at 5g/8a (14p) in 52 games
- Faber at 6g/24a (30p) in 74 games

2 goals and 13 assists for Rossi in Minnesota, traded at the deadline and gets another 5 goals and 20 assists with another team. Total is 7 goals and 33 assists for 40 points.
