The recent thread over Ozzie and the HHOF has me thinking a much more clear cut case...what/why/how is Lou Whitaker not in baseball's HOF?

I think someone like Jack Norris is honestly 'eh', to be in, but for a sport that can be statistically analysed forward, backwards, dead ball era adjusted, I don't get it.

I love Sweet Lou:
Batting: Above Average-Great (for a 2B)
Fielding: Above average-Great
Awards: ROY, 5 AS, 4 SS, 3GG, '84 WS
WAR: 81st out of every MLB player ever. Only people who have a better WAR than him and is not in the HOF are Pete Rose (obvious), Barry Bonds (obvious), Schilling (obvious), Clemens (obvious), A-Rod (obvious), slew of active players, then two old timey players who played in the 1800s.

Lou should be in.

Home opener tonight!... But no Cade until at least after the first road trip according to Weaver... :(

It's a real shame he won't be healthy for the opener, I think it could've been our most exciting one in quite some time. It will still be fun to watch the other kids though I suppose.

Anyone gone to a Michigan hockey game yet this year? How did you get tickets? I wonder if it's difficult to do so.

How many games do we allow until we can fairly say Killian Hayes won't ever be what we hoped? Half a season? A full season?

Yeah it's getting pretty bleak isn't it? Still a solid draft with Bey and Stewart, but it looks like Hayes just can't score against NBA competition.

He'll definitely get a long chance to play through it this season, so I'm not sure I can put a number of games on it, but it's not looking great for Killian at the moment.

This. Feels like every game. Every freaking game.

Correa to Yanks? Ranking MLB's billion-dollar class of free-agent shortstops -- and where each might land

ESPN's evaluators obviously see the Tigers as a safe choice for one of the five top SS FAs and as frontrunner for Correa. I could definitely live with that.

BSHH

The way Tork and Greene looked this year, dominating anywhere they were, the Tigers could be really solid next year. I will actually be really surprised if the Tigers dont land one of these shortstops. I know tey havent spent money lately, but now is the time at a crucial position that theyre weak at. There wont be a short stop group like this for a while
