That would have been nuts. I'm happy the Bears actually made a hire that makes sense, but anyone suggesting the Lions should have fired Campbell to keep Johnson were just out to lunch, imo.
There's no way that was an actual thing outside of maybe 1 or 2 people completely off their rockers.

The Bears seem like a good team to join right now (well, except maybe competing against the other 3 teams in the division). They have a lot of good pieces in place and I think their GM knows what he's doing.

I'm not so sure Ben Johnson will make a good coach. Seems more like a career coordinator to me. But I have been wrong about that many many many times

You have way more faith in him than a lot of Bears fans

As a Bears fan, I'm just happy they didn't go out of their way to do something that left us wondering what they were thinking. I was fully expecting them to hire Carroll or something.

Oh...didn't realize I was talking to a Bears fan. Ryan Poles sucks. Caleb Williams sucks. D'Andre Swift sucks. All those 100's of rumors over the last 2 years of Ben Johnson being a horrible person? All true.

I've been curious about that from all four Detroit teams, but not so much at the pro level.

Like if Seider played football, I think I'd try him at Tight End. I'd try Larkin at Shooting Guard in basketball. Cade I'd want to see at Quarterback but he could also be a really good Center in hockey. Ivey I'd think would be a Wide Receiver, maybe a scoring winger in hockey. Ausar Thompson at Shortstop or Center Field is intriguing. I think both Gibbs and Jameson Williams played shooting guard in high school. I'm not super well-versed on the Tigers but maybe Riley Greene would be nice at wing in hockey.

Don't underestimate how big football players are. Seider does not nearly have the size to be a tight end.

Laporta, Kelce, Kittle, guys known for their receiving abilities and shiftiness/run after catch all have ~50 lbs on Seider

Off topic a bit but that Doncic trade was criminal

No fans deserve to have their 25 year old franchise player ripped from them overnight. Especially one that carried his team to the nba finals last year and is so meaningful to their fan base. I feel for Mavs fans so much
Very puzzling trade for sure.
Also the fact that he wasn't shopped is very odd.

This clip or some variation/remix of it has been circulating in all my algorithms lately. It's probably my 'Roman Empire'.

The current roster is still quite flawed but man I still want playoff hockey so badly.

The fact they traded for AD who got injured in game 1 with a non contact injury is karma. Hate to make jokes about anyone getting hurt but to believe AD and Kyrie are going to be reliable, historically at least is nuts. To Kyrie's credit he has put his head down and worked and stayed out of the media since arriving in Dallas.

Also why gift wrap a player like Luka to LA? That's a match made in heaven if you ask me.

Yeah, I could understand not wanting to go long term on doncic if he couldn't stay in any shape other than lumpy, but that was such a bad return. How they didn't just admit they were tearing it down at that point and focus on futures is beyond me.
