That would have been nuts. I'm happy the Bears actually made a hire that makes sense, but anyone suggesting the Lions should have fired Campbell to keep Johnson were just out to lunch, imo.
There's no way that was an actual thing outside of maybe 1 or 2 people completely off their rockers.

The Bears seem like a good team to join right now (well, except maybe competing against the other 3 teams in the division). They have a lot of good pieces in place and I think their GM knows what he's doing.

I'm not so sure Ben Johnson will make a good coach. Seems more like a career coordinator to me. But I have been wrong about that many many many times

You have way more faith in him than a lot of Bears fans

As a Bears fan, I'm just happy they didn't go out of their way to do something that left us wondering what they were thinking. I was fully expecting them to hire Carroll or something.

Oh...didn't realize I was talking to a Bears fan. Ryan Poles sucks. Caleb Williams sucks. D'Andre Swift sucks. All those 100's of rumors over the last 2 years of Ben Johnson being a horrible person? All true.

I've been curious about that from all four Detroit teams, but not so much at the pro level.

Like if Seider played football, I think I'd try him at Tight End. I'd try Larkin at Shooting Guard in basketball. Cade I'd want to see at Quarterback but he could also be a really good Center in hockey. Ivey I'd think would be a Wide Receiver, maybe a scoring winger in hockey. Ausar Thompson at Shortstop or Center Field is intriguing. I think both Gibbs and Jameson Williams played shooting guard in high school. I'm not super well-versed on the Tigers but maybe Riley Greene would be nice at wing in hockey.

Don't underestimate how big football players are. Seider does not nearly have the size to be a tight end.

Laporta, Kelce, Kittle, guys known for their receiving abilities and shiftiness/run after catch all have ~50 lbs on Seider
