Leafs were very good for the majority of the game. Marner and Hyman need to be better and I think that’s what’s encouraging that those guys weren’t good and we still kinda of dominated. 2 PP goals is also very encouraging. I hope the beast has awakened.

If Marner and Hyman get going we will be tough for anyone to play with the rest of the team playing like this. This is exactly what we needed, to dominate them and show them we are not a close matchup even with Tavares out.

i missed 1/2 the game which is disappointing. so i can't comment on things. but i do like it was a well rounded effort from the guys today. It really makes you wonder if Tavares didn't get smacked into the middle of next week with that hit what would have happened game one?

I don't think they necessarily played a bad game game one. but i do like that they seemed to adjust and shrugged off Montreal's crap game. I honestly think the key is (for the Leafs) is still score first and make Montreal play their game. I personally don't think they can do it,.

I don't think it's gonna be 100 percent smooth sailing but i don't think it's gonna be stress either. Imo take the 2 games in Montreal and close it at home.
