Guilty as charged here. Not proud of it by any means, I am usually fairly reserved. The injury and lack of response is what really burned a lot of folks, as did the, "here we go again", lack of intensity from the gate and overall lack of compete. No excuses, though. Just gonna sit back and watch. It was 1 game where we lost by 1 goal, where a freak injury to one of our best players occurred. A lot of the reactions were hilariously silly. Chicken little stuff but it's not surprising, some Leaf fans seem to follow the team just to be perpetually mad about something. Nice martyr cosplay at the end lol
if your saying what I think your saying.....I don't know what to say.Dubas' reaction would be exactly my reaction because I have an emotional disposition. But I also know I should never be leading anyone into battle either. I expect stoicism from leaders.
Why on earth would you question his capabilities as a GM? Literally every move he’s made has been solid and reasoned. Some didn’t pan out as you’d hope (Kadri trade) but he’s not out there trading taylor hall for a #5 d man...I question Dubas GM capabilities. I don't question him as a person and I never will. He genuinely cares about his staff
On top of that, Dubas does't intervene with Keefe's decisions. He doesn't micromanage. Coaching decisions are left to coach
Something clearly isn't the case in Montreal.
Any other GM would be fired by now for the lack of success in Montreal by now. You can tell Marc is in bed with a lot of people
I though there was absolutely nothing that you can even think there was a chance at overturning it. However, I think mtl knows they cannot score more than two goals a game and probably even less if opposing team is leading and in good defensive posture. It was end of the night for them as soon as it was3-1. So they had no choice, but to challenge with little to no hope.Montreal should have gotten a major for that brutal coach's challenge
Lol, at game 9 if you get there.I know it’s a possible shot at Naz but he’s worth every penny and comes engaged and ready to fill in any role given to him with enthusiasm.
why change something that works, that 3rd line was good, leave it alone. Please no Nash for this series. Gally wasnt great, hustled as usual though. If i am replacing him with anybody its brooks or even robertson.Galchenyuk didn't look very good. I hope he rotates out for another look at Nash, bumping Kerfoot or Mikheyev up the the second line.
Agreed. My first thought was he's calling the habs in 4Interesting. So Kotkaniemi either pulled an F-U to the Leafs or a subtle F-U to the Habs coach. I'm still going for the former. I mean, it just makes way more sense to make a cocky gesture during a playoff game than some sort of "we're the Fabulous 4!" weirdness.
Also, unless HNIC has clear evidence of what he was doing, they need to shut their pie holes! What, they're trying to 'game manage' fans' emotions now? We're not allowed to make fun of Kotkaniemi's ridiculous gesture?!
I think you only start him if we win game 3 or if Campbell gets overworked. You have to start Andersen in the b2b. Soup already had to have a maintenance day, can’t risk hurting him playing 2 days in a row. We’re gonna need him

But it would be wise to rest him for his own sake.
Old Sudocrem Warnock? Matthew Kilgallon's Under the Cosh episode is one of the best things I've ever witnessed.Whatever his intent was, the coaching staff in Toronto need to put a picture of it up in the changing room just as they walk out onto the ice. You make it what you want it and use it.
I remember a play-off semi final where my team (Nottingham Forest) were 1-1 heading into the second leg at Sheff Utd. Our website produced ticket costs/purchases for a potential final at Wembley.
We were 2-0 up at half time in the second leg, 3-1 on aggregate. During the half-time team talk, Neil Warnock the Sheff Utd manager showed his team we had been advertising final tickets and that we were arrogant enough to believe we were already there.
Sheff Utd came out, won the game 4-2 and made it to the final. Coincidently, Sheff Utd had also pre-emptively advertised the same on their website re: tickets, simply because the final was only a week later, so everything had to be prepared for tickets to be on sale the following day. He obviously didn't mention that to his team, he showed them what he wanted to, knowing it would get the best out of them.
Regardless of what people say, The Leafs should take that four-fingered salute as Montreal believing the series was theirs and that is motivation to go out there and put them firmly in their place.
I'd have to go with the over on that, but would love to see it.I've been unhappy with Andersen for awhile now, but I'm going to go against my better judgement and say he let's in one or less goals.

If he puts up the donut though, you have to go back to Jack.
Right?
He's been solid. I feel comfortable with him in netDefinitely. I think they have to live or die with Campbell as the #1. He's been good so far.

Some of them do (evil glare at Holl). The important thing is that the D is comfortable. They look way less panicky than any other year so far.
