Post-Game Talk: Leafs lose in SO

Yep, I'm not happy he was healthy scratched tonight. I wonder if Keefe was hoping Sandin would score on his shootout attempt to justify sitting Timmins!!!

Would be nice but Boston is having a historic run that is incredible hard to catch up.

Just need to accept it's going to be Toronto-Tampa in round 1 and hope the Leafs' can maintain home ice advantage at this point.

Samsonov showing us why the Caps let him go. He’s looking more and more like Mrazek, guessing and swimming all over the place. He doesn’t look confident. Time for Murray to take the net for a while.

Having said that, the great defensive structure has kind of disappeared. I’d like to see Benn and Timmins back in. I don’t know for who but a trade may be the answer.

Leafs had the home ice last year too. Meeting either boston or tampa is going to take a lot out of the gas for the Leafs if Leafs were to finally make the 2nd round. Also, I thought Vasy played like crap in the 1st round, if he raises his game or plays better this time around it will be even tougher.

Ideally, Boston starts losing a bit; but Leafs have to get their points. We can't squander points like we have earlier in the season.

I'm sick of the same 1st round meetings every year. I'm also very sick of seeing very good teams eliminated in the 1st & 2nd rounds every f***ing season now.

I really think the NHL needs to go back to the 1 through 8 playoff seeding. The teams that have great regular seasons should be rewarded by facing lower seeded teams.

When all the top teams in a conference are in the same division, they are punished unfairly IMHO.

1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5, in both conferences should be how it is!!!

This is true. Their OT record has hurt their chances of catches the B’s. Really need a Boston losing streak.

Barn burner of a game. The Blues hit everything they saw. Take the point and on to the next one.

Have to say, Matthew's is always getting thugged out there and hardly any calls. I know he's been off this year, but damn... It's got to be hard when it seems opposing players can get away with bloody murder against him.

He doesn't come across as a guy that holds onto bad goals / performances for long. WIll be intriguing to see how he bounces back - especially if Murray gets the net back and continues to play well for a stretch & begins to separate himself

Really starting to show why Washington didn't give him a QO. A big goalie that doesn't play his angles well enough and is well below average athleticism that has him stumbling in his crease on every side to side movement.

3 of the top 5 teams in the league are in the Atlantic division

It's going to be an absolute bloodbath trying to get out of here smh

Crazy that we lost this game but it was a show atleast. Better goaltending next time.
