Well not perfect but I'm encouraged

Lily had a decent game, a key blocked shot early on, really want to see him in the line up on a regular basis
Dermott had a good game for him
Brodie had an uncharacteristic bad game but I thought he worked hard to scramble and right his wrongs

Marner and JT shesh - sure will be nice when they get on track
Lovin' Willie this year
and Jack has been great

no judgements until at least 10 games in - there is definitely some wrinkles to iron out

Looking forward to playing an American team finally

Its a small sample size but Ritchie doesnt belong on the first line, thats for sure.

5v5 Tavares/Marner without Richie:
TOI: 10 minutes
CF%: 67.26
xGF%: 84.29


I think he'll be good on the third line but he just bogs down the top line.

super premature to make that judgement on Ritchie. He needs to play better, but so do marner and Tavares. Also your 2nd sample is beyond small, its 10 minutes, its absurd.

I’d wager a large of that line’s poor numbers together is marner missing the net on just about every shot he takes.

Leafs games seem much slower paced than other games.

Way to early for that. The end of the 1st tonight ... it was high tempo and they made Sens look like tykes who are apparently really fast now. They may of lost a bit of foot speed but they're not a slow team. They'll pick it up forsure.

It's been a wierd start. NYI 0-2 Buffalo 2-0 Montreal 0-3

Early season weird shit happens. 15 to 20 games in you usually know. I think Habs without trying to be too bias aren't going to be great without Price. He hid how they're not really better than mediocrity if that.
