I could see the rangers potentially interested in adding Copp... his next contract would be a bit worrisome though. He wouldn’t be more then a middle 6 guy getting little to no PP time here., so there’s likely no way his numbers would continue as they have with Winnipeg.
But NYR and Winn have a history of making trades together.... Trouba/ Hayes etc

Yeah, some of those seem like real head scratchers. You guys are still fairly high on Heinola, right? Why move Lowry for a song? (I would think a vet 3C who brings good to great defense and some physical bite would be worth keeping around)

That would make him one of the most valuable players in the league. Copp is getting 6 million long-term this off-season, there are tons of takers for what he brings.

I know you have to give to get and thought I offered a lot but not willing to move Schneider, he is untouchable. Have no problem with adding a first to the package I offered or any other prospects not named Schneider, Othmann or Cuylie. Put Lundkvist in instead of Jones because you look weaker at right defense then left defense, is that correct?

Good offer. I know us Jets fans really want Schneider (for the same reason Rangers fans want to keep him) but Lundkvist is a top RHD prospect. And you would ADD another prospect too? I would tempted to ask for Kravtsov. Is that fair?

Jets need a culture and leadership change. That means trading Scheifele and, if possible, Wheeler.
Go after a top 6 RW and try to upgrade the top pairing RHD.
I’d keep Stastny as he’s a good vet leader and is loved by the Org, the team, and the fans. Sign him to 1yr x 2.5m
If Wheeler can’t be traded, he should be bought out to make room on the roster and for cap space.

The need for culture and leadership change is 3 years in the making.
