Okay. I only read the first page and this one. I feel negative enough, I don't need to read 26 pages of it. Hahaha.
Lafreniere has been amazing. He stepped up just like we've all wanted. Still only 22 and he and Troch have been our best players outside of goal. BY FAR.
93, 20, 10 were all pretty damn good for the first series and half of the second series, Kreids though not doing much at all offensively since that superhuman hattrick, has at least not been a detriment. Pan kind of the same, not really contributing much, but at least not actively hurting us.
And then there is Zibanijad. I understand how people can say he doesn't care, though honestly I don't agree, after watching that weak ass half hearted looking pass attempt that led to Wheeler's OT penalty. That's frankly INEXCUSABLE. It's almost incomprehensibly bad. The guy has SO much talent its hard to explain a play like that in a playoff OT game... hence people arriving at the conclusion that he doesn't give a shit.
The team, and Zibs, actually gave me HOPE in the first period and then utterly CRUSHED that hope. Looked to me like they had turned a corner and we were starting to fire on all cylinders... but then the rest of the game happened. I actually think this was our worst game after the first period. Florida's chances seemed to be more high danger unlike most of the first three games. Shesty was f***ing great.
Our big name players:
I'm going to say it: If Zibs continues like this (even if we miraculously somehow win the Cup despite him), and we DON'T find out he has some sort of injury, he's GOT TO GO. Yes it would probably hurt our regular season chances, but I don't give a f***. What's the point of a player getting you to the the playoffs and then torpedoing you? I'd rather do less well in the regular season without him and have a better chance to draft help then have great regular seasons and never win it all.
Kreider I feel WILL step up, but even if he doesn't break out again he should be here till he retires. Bleeds Blue.
Panarin may step up as well, if he does not, I wouldn't extend him before seeing if he does anything in next years playoffs. If not, let him walk unless he wants to take a REAL cut in pay. I'm talking Kreider numbers, like half of what he makes now. Same logic as Zibs: I don't care how great he is regular season if he doesn't help us win when it counts most. I'd rather get better draft position and build a team made for the post season. You don't have to win the President's Trophy, just be in the top half of the league and get in.
Trouba. I think he's been playing hurt most of the year and still is. He certainly can't be accused of not trying. However we need D who can move the puck and have at least a LITTLE mobility, if we move on from him before seeing if he rebounds next season, I'll live with it.
Fox is all world. Even hurt hes way above average. Retire a NYR.
Trocheck is a bargain.
End Rant. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
