Please put Miller-Schneider back together. I don't care how bad Gus-Trouba had been, you have to run this. They were 7-2 with those pairs and 3-2 since then.

Can't keep changing the forward lines and leave the pairs alone. You're struggling to exit your zone and that is primarily on the defense.

Limit Trouba and Lindgren to PK and 3rd pair minutes. Stack Gus-Fox for OZ draws or even Miller-Fox if Gus just ended his shift.

Wheeler and Rempe out, Chytil and Brodz in. We need speed and these two bring it. Don't care what Rempe brings to the crowd.

10-16-13
20-93-72
24-91-96
50-21-76

Lavi panicked and went back to muh grit. after a bad goal Schneider allowed in game 5 of the Carolina series.

Oh no you’re right I thought you added them together. Reading too fast.
Ok thank you.

I get he is captain. But nobody can dispute that more pucks wind up in our net when he is on the ice.

And that is before we even get into the amount of horrible penalties he has taken.

The media needs to start harping on this.

Lav needs to bench him for the betterment of the team.

We actually have someone who can step in and be good (jones)

Trouba, who i like, is single handily killing us these playoffs.

I’m pretty sure Trouba has been on the ice for 7 of the last 8 FLA goals. They can’t score without him lol

It was similar in carolina.

Yet mollie, or larry or vince want to ask Lav the hard question. Or write an article pointing out how he is costing us this season.

Or the fact that the best stretch of the season was when he was injured.

Its incomprehensible why this is not being talked about.

Okay. I only read the first page and this one. I feel negative enough, I don't need to read 26 pages of it. Hahaha.
Lafreniere has been amazing. He stepped up just like we've all wanted. Still only 22 and he and Troch have been our best players outside of goal. BY FAR.
93, 20, 10 were all pretty damn good for the first series and half of the second series, Kreids though not doing much at all offensively since that superhuman hattrick, has at least not been a detriment. Pan kind of the same, not really contributing much, but at least not actively hurting us.
And then there is Zibanijad. I understand how people can say he doesn't care, though honestly I don't agree, after watching that weak ass half hearted looking pass attempt that led to Wheeler's OT penalty. That's frankly INEXCUSABLE. It's almost incomprehensibly bad. The guy has SO much talent its hard to explain a play like that in a playoff OT game... hence people arriving at the conclusion that he doesn't give a shit.
The team, and Zibs, actually gave me HOPE in the first period and then utterly CRUSHED that hope. Looked to me like they had turned a corner and we were starting to fire on all cylinders... but then the rest of the game happened. I actually think this was our worst game after the first period. Florida's chances seemed to be more high danger unlike most of the first three games. Shesty was f***ing great.
Our big name players:
I'm going to say it: If Zibs continues like this (even if we miraculously somehow win the Cup despite him), and we DON'T find out he has some sort of injury, he's GOT TO GO. Yes it would probably hurt our regular season chances, but I don't give a f***. What's the point of a player getting you to the the playoffs and then torpedoing you? I'd rather do less well in the regular season without him and have a better chance to draft help then have great regular seasons and never win it all.
Kreider I feel WILL step up, but even if he doesn't break out again he should be here till he retires. Bleeds Blue.
Panarin may step up as well, if he does not, I wouldn't extend him before seeing if he does anything in next years playoffs. If not, let him walk unless he wants to take a REAL cut in pay. I'm talking Kreider numbers, like half of what he makes now. Same logic as Zibs: I don't care how great he is regular season if he doesn't help us win when it counts most. I'd rather get better draft position and build a team made for the post season. You don't have to win the President's Trophy, just be in the top half of the league and get in.
Trouba. I think he's been playing hurt most of the year and still is. He certainly can't be accused of not trying. However we need D who can move the puck and have at least a LITTLE mobility, if we move on from him before seeing if he rebounds next season, I'll live with it.
Fox is all world. Even hurt hes way above average. Retire a NYR.
Trocheck is a bargain.
End Rant. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
I think Mika needs anti depression meds. Seriously. He doesn't look happy.

We need to find a way to get out of the zone every time. This winging it around or flinging to half ice to change is killing the whole team.

Carolina feasted on it and we got a miracle. Florida is feasting on it.

Either the D need to skate it up or learn how to make a pass somehow in 24 hours or just ice it every god damn time instead of allowing this punishment.

It’s not the lines. It’s the fact they can’t generate anything because we can’t get up the ice.

If Chytil isn’t playing go 11/7. Let Jones create some mismatches and carry the puck up. And for the love of anything spiritual stop playing Miller with Trouba and lessen Frankenstein’s minutes. He’s a train wreck. @Machinehead for the new Trouba name

Fla is playing at the top of their game here. We have a lot of things we can fix and even so they needed biased refs and a pp in ot to beat us.

Thats why we can win this. We fix a few things and win. Fla has nothing to fix, this is as good as they get.

Plus we have home field advantage.

Hopefully Lavi is tinkering with his toolbox, strategizing, motivating as we speak. We can play better, we can win it.
Eventually Florida's relentless pressure will result in more goals while our lack of chances and pressure will result in 0 goals instead of an opportunistic 5.

Things can change but man it's hard to see a path after last night.

Culture of silence and denial in MSG.

Barkov is such a tough player to play against. Let's face it, the Rangers don't have an answer to him. He's as elite and as physical as they come along the boards.

Lavi needs to use home ice advantage to create more favorable matchups against him. The only way I see us winning this series is with set plays off face-offs in the offensive zone and keeping them to the outside on the other side of the ice. We unfortunate to lose game 1, and lucky to win game 3.

Now we need to use the home ice advantage to win the series. Rangers can do it, but it will take leveraging last change, some good face-off wins, and actually winning the special teams battle which they have lost so far.

At least there were a few signs of life last night - Laf and Trocheck looked great. And Fox made a dynamic play to set up Laf's goal.

Zib almost scored on the PP and the PP unit looked lethal in the early part of the game.

PK has been absolute shit. And 5v5 was even in MSG, but lopsided in FL. It's a winnable series, but Florida is every bit as scary, elite, and physical as advertised.

I would take Wheeler out of the lineup. I really don't see why he should play at all. He brings nothing to the table.

Yea take out last games best line and put in a guy who's scared to be hit and a career AHL'er
I can't shelter that line against this team. We need players that can take a defensive zone draw on the 4th line. They got the easiest assignment and broke even, not a recipe for success. If you want to keep Rempe in, fine, but Wheeler has to go back to being a cheerleader.

Some people aren't happy to hear anything that isn't the same tired old tropes.

Anybody who pays attention and is honest as been harping on the D corps for multiple seasons.
And? Did anyone say that Lindgren (with expiring contract) and Trouba (with limited NTC) are untouchables? With the combination of cap cost and on-ice contribution it’s definitely an area that can be improved. But this WAS discussed around TDL and should be left until offseason - there’s nothing can be done about it now so constantly regurgitating the same thing is useless and annoying. Part of the reason why Drury spent so little to improve this team at TDL was because this group to show themselves before ultimately deciding what kind of improvements will be needed going forward. But Ccan they win the limited number of games with this deficiency relying on will and resiliency? It’s a game with tons of variables so yeah.

If we can get back to playing more like Games 1 and 2 rather than Games 3 and 4, we can pull this off. I don't think we were perfect by any means in Games 1 and 2, but I thought we played better than in Games 3 and 4. Just felt like Florida had more high danger chances in Games 3 and 4 than they did in Games 1 and 2. Wonder what the advanced stats say though.
That's exactly right. I think last change on home ice played a factor in that too.

Yea take out last games best line and put in a guy who's scared to be hit and a career AHL'er
They were neutral at best, not "good"
