What do the magnitude and direction of the lines mean?
First point is where they were at the beginning of the 25 game sample, and where the team abbreviation is located is where they are at the end of the sample. Line connecting the two just makes it easier to follow where the two points are for a team.

Yeah I didn’t realize the 25 games include the playoffs, but it’s all the same I suppose.

Canes can still come back, they lose 1 more and its over.

Boston.... ugh. Go Sharks!

Carolina has turned into a tropical depression.
Everything is pointing towards a Boston sweep, but make no mistake the Hurricanes can just as easily win their home games and tie the series up.
I refuse to believe that the Bruins are "that good". They aren't. Carolina just shit the bed like already stated. Mrazek hasnt been good, and 1st game was a lot closer than score indicated.

Don't give up on Carolina. Didn"t they come back after 0-2 vs last years champs? Swept the Isles? Impressive.

Yes, they are young and inexperienced. THAT (and goaltending) is what Boston has over them. Not talent. Think Mrazek might still be injured, wouldn't be surprised if they started McElhinney

Or.....It Just might be as far as they can go.......". If it ends for them soon, next year....they will have "this year" to look back on.

All in all, I am hoping for the winner of Blues/Sharks to take it all. For the sake of their fans......especially Blues fans.
52 years and counting. We can relate. Imagine the chants of "Nineteen, sixty-seven, Nineteen, sixty-seven".

Doesn't have quite the ring that 1940 had.

The chant would be "Sixty Seven!" Four syllables.

For the Leafs it would. They have not won since the first expansion

Just have to take one game at a time, but honestly it doesn’t look good. Shaping up to be a San Jose and Boston finals...... Meteor.

of course they can. They started down 2-0 versus the caps. They are undefeated at home this post season. There is a mighty amount of jerk power in Carolina. Now if they'd only start a chant "JERK! JERK! JERK!"
