St.Louy goalie is a good story. I really want the team that has the best chance if beating Boston, should those nasty B's advance.

Who is everyone rooting for tonight? Am ambivalent.

Blues all the way!

Me too. I’ve always disliked him since he stole the MVP from Jagr. That plus him calling the Rangers a soft team ironically during the Torts era. Plus I’ve always felt like he’s been a choker his whole career. Easy Hall of Fame Player, but not a clutch performer.
Fair point. But I can let a comment go. His play is generally good and clean. (though that elbow earlier in the playoffs was nasty).

All of the above, plus he's another star player who makes a lot of dirty, douchbag plays but gets away with it because of who he is.

San Jose 10 minutes away from elimination and down by three goals and the refs gift them a 5 minute power play and the rest might be history. Even the guy that got knocked out later on says it shouldn't have been a major. It's a case of being lucky--getting the bounces and the calls at the right time. Back in Vegas this has to grate--considering though all the bullshit that any other NHL team has to go through just as a matter of existence Vegas was well overdue for some for real shit. So to me it's not really even unjust--it's welcome to the NHL--this is how it really is.

Agreed. If San Jose wins the Cup this year it won't surprise me that they do it with Thornton relegated to a supporting role after going Cup-less all those years when he was the main guy. His teams in Boston rarely advanced past the first round.

Yes, that's hockey. Plus, you MUST be able to kill penalties. The better team did win, I think.

Idk, I sort of want San Jose to win it all but there are a few things keeping me from being all in. I don't really care for Karlsson or Thornton, and If Thornton wins one that means Hank will be pretty much the only one of the greats of his generation that will finish without a cup (along with Luongo I guess). Having a goalie as shitty as Jones win a cup but not Hank? That stings. Plus, San Jose really got some unfair help from the refs. St. Louis i don't have strong feelings about, but if they win that's one more team with a worse history than the Rangers that will leapfrog us. Boston obviously I hate but at least they have built a legitimately good team with proven winners on it, and even though they were able to avoid Tampa and Washington I think they could have matched up well with either of them. And finally, Carolina, if they were to win, would be the absolute worst team to win a Cup in like, 50 years. Gun to my head, I say go Sharks go. Sharks over Bruins in 7, with a questionable ref decision in game 7 in San Jose's favor.
