He's a good player but had a down year with a career low shooting percentage of 6. He's more than tripled it in the playoffs though!
I know everyone wanted Tarasenko in the 2010 draft, but I really wanted Schwartz, so I always like to see him doing well

As much as the Blues have had the majority of the play in the Sharks end and as much as I want the Blues to win and as much as I can't stand the Sharks, why do I think it's inevitable that somehow someway the Sharks are going to figure out a way to break the Blues hearts and win this game?

Oh yeah it's because it seems the hockey gods are on the Sharks side this whole playoff run of theirs and they'll once again help them out...lol

too lazy too look but I wonder what the record for goals in a playoff run is. I'd have to think it was a Gretzky or some Oiler from back in the day

Record is 19 shared by Jari Kurri in '85 and Reggie Leach in '76

Reggie did it in 16 games to Kuri's 18. Reggie actually won the Conn Smythe for that despite the Flyers losing the Cup that year.

Sweet Bobby Rich...thx for the research on your part. Your mention of Reggie Leach reminds me of what a sniper he was for the Flyers. He had a howitzer of a shot from my recollection and so not surprising he sniped 19 that year for Philly

But of course Blues hit the pipe on the PP and instead of a 2 goal lead, it's still a one goal lead with plenty of time for the Sharks to pull off their lucky ass shit.

Well imagine that boys...the hockey gods did in fact take a night off apparently and allowed the Blues to beat them lucky ass Sharks. We got a series...koolio

Now we just need them same gods to allow the Jerky boys from Carolina to win tomorrow and have that series with the Bruins become a bit more interesting. Here's to hoping that occurs....

The conditions on the Karlsson trade are kinda nuts:

The 2019 2nd rounder is the better of San Jose's own or Florida's own, previously acquired. If the Sharks miss the playoffs in 2018-19, the 2019 or 2020 first-rounder will be in 2019; otherwise, it’s a 2020 first-round pick that will go to Ottawa. If the Sharks re-sign Karlsson the Senators receive a conditional second-round pick in 2021 which would become a first-round pick if the Sharks make it to the Stanley Cup Final in 2019. If Karlsson is on an Eastern Conference roster (reserve list during the 2018-19 season, the Sharks would have to send the Senators an additional first-round pick no later than 2022.

He was a kid who was seen as being the best in his draft class, couldn't quite match loft expectations, fell in the draft, and then carved out a very nice career.

Couture is a great example, together with Scheifele, why you shouldn't label a prospect a bust if he isn't putting up 50 NHL points in their 1st or 2nd season after being drafted
