22 games in and PLD has the same amount of points as Namestnikov. Wasn’t expecting that.
He'll have to score 49 points in his remaining 60 games to hit the 60 point mark.
It was more fun with when the Oilers sucked. They are actually getting depth scoring now.

They got Letang, 36 for another 4 years at 6.1M, Malkin 37, for another 2 years at 6.1M. Maybe they thought that by trading for Karlsson that he might be the missing piece, they were wrong.

It's bad enough that the Oilers are playing much better but listening to their pbp guy Michaels is like putting a ice pick through your ears.

Another one that got away.
They are brutal to listen to. Their whole broadcast for games is unwatchable.
We are really lucky to have Robertson.

Carolina is a bit of a paper tiger(Corsi tiger?). Even with Anderson in net they are not that solid in that spot. Like a lot of teams they missed out on Helly this off season.
They've lost a decent amount of depth the last few seasons and some of their players are aging.

Their slow start wasn't going to last. As I said when things were at their bleakest, I haven't given up on the Oilers yet this season. They still have allot of work to do and their goaltending isn't good enough, but with McD and Drai they should claw their way into the playoff race at least.

I made a proposal on the main boards of 2023 1st, Jarvis and Scott Morrow for Helly and they balked at it. Wonder if they would now
Guess we will see if the goaltending holds up. Not sure what they are going to do if Skinner gets injured or slumps. Try and trade for one, I guess
5 of the bottom 10 teams in the league (including the Oilers) are from the Pacific Division. I hope they miss as well, but their division is not good. They just have to beat someone for a Wild Card spot, the 'Yotes/Blues/Preds and even the Flames aren't the greatest teams, so they definitely have a chance if they go on a super hot-streak.
Reaaaaaaaally hope they miss though haha

Interesting how some posters here love pointing out when former HFJets favs at the bottom of the lineup are not doing great on their new teams (your Harkins, Nikus and Petans). Yet get annoyed when accomplishments of guys who are thriving on other teams are brought up (Eyssimont).
