I'd like to see Domi used properly before he's moved.

That means go get a 3C and stop trying to force Domi to be a center.

This man had 48 points last year, that player did not disappear over night.

Which Willy? He’s a 1000x time worse version of Nylander. A worse version of Willy is still a top 6 forward which we definitely need. That being said with his current play, I agree his offence doesn’t make up for his defence and bone headed penalties

The only player on that list that I think we may not see again is Steeves. Not because he shouldn’t be in the NHL but because of numbers.

I think there will be far less action than people are expecting. I’m ok with that. Big changes can disrupt things. This is a first place team

We likely are not going to win a cup without a giant influx of #1 dman and 2nd line center. That cannot happen with our salary structure.
I have enjoyed hockey when I see development of young players like AM, Willie, even Reilly. Management job is to find guys who develop and fill big holes like Knies with good contract status, that how you win. That has been our weakness. We gave puck up Bertuzzi, Domi, OReilly and JT.
We need to keep Minten, Cowan etc. When Marner or JT leaves is the time to develope for 2 seasons for a cup run, before AM and Willie become anchors.

Those seem like reasonable guesses.

I like the thought of the Tanev brothers, not sure how they could make it work though.

I don't know if we'll see anyone gone through anything but waivers. Treliving's MO is not getting crazy with the cheez whiz, it's peripheral moves that will solidify depth. He may have to waive a couple of players for that to happen, but low level picks for grizzly vets is kinda what I expect.

Unless he thinks he can get Tyler Toffoli because he's been in love with him for 15 years.

Easy, all they need is a team willing to be a 3rd party broker, according to Lebrun Seattle is to retain 50%.

So if you can get a 3rd party broker to retain 25% and somehow get a guy like Dewar to be included as part of a package, they money works

I saw a report that Seattle is willing to eat 50% of the salary. So it could happen!
