I'm not sure if this May 2024 interview has been posted here - it includes a clip of Demidov in a fight after throwing a questionable hit in a particularly chippy game...
Does anyone ever think about how perfectly the whole draft thing played out for us? Why would other teams pass on potentially getting the best player of the draft? Then we have one of the biggest pop stars of the last 25 years come up on stage and announce his name. It seems a little too perfect to be considered coincidental.
@montreal will you be able to catch this?

You’re a heroit's at 5 am but if they put in on their youtube ch then I will have a vid up at some point tomorrow afternoon and I will of course have all his games that I can get access to. The problem is the KHL is geo blocked for me and there are rumors suggesting that VHL and MHL games might get moved to another platform but I don't know if it would still be shown on youtube, as I need access to the games on demand since I'm not getting up at the ass crack of dawn to watch a game unless I'm being paid to do so.
It's from this game, and I'd highly recommend watching it, it's wild.
I'm not getting up at the ass crack of dawn to watch a game unless I'm being paid to do so.
Don’t forget Suzuki who is Bergeron and Caufield who is Kane and Reinbacher who is Pietrangelo and Hutson who is Hughes and and andThe fact that we have Slaf who can have the same impact of Rantanen soon, Demidov who can have the same impact of Kaprizov aswell.
That's 2 amazing talent we have!!
I thought you were an early riser?it's at 5 am but if they put in on their youtube ch then I will have a vid up at some point tomorrow afternoon and I will of course have all his games that I can get access to. seriously...Don’t forget Suzuki who is Bergeron and Caufield who is Kane and Reinbacher who is Pietrangelo and Hutson who is Hughes and and and
LMAO5 am it is ! We will break Ska's inner game viewership record for sure
seriously...
You're making fun but..Don’t forget Suzuki who is Bergeron and Caufield who is Kane and Reinbacher who is Pietrangelo and Hutson who is Hughes and and and
No mention of Brendan Gallagher????Don’t forget Suzuki who is Bergeron and Caufield who is Kane and Reinbacher who is Pietrangelo and Hutson who is Hughes and and and
Like everything. If you put in the work you will get resultsSimilar mentality to Slaf.....obviously the mentality means nothing if you don't actually improve though , hope this kids hard work can pay off
Don’t forget Suzuki who is Bergeron and Caufield who is Kane and Reinbacher who is Pietrangelo and Hutson who is Hughes and and and
In all fairness, I’ve always felt Pietrangelo gets overlooked. The guy has played internationally for us several times I believe. He definitely passes the eye test. I was surprised at how much of an impact he actually has on the game. If Reinbacher becomes that, we’re goldenYou're making fun but..
Bergeron career high is 79 points and Nick hit 77 last year with some selke votes..
Nobody has ever said Caufield is Kane don't be ridiculous
Reinbacher has all the chance in the world to match the almighty Pietrangelo who people mistake as some kind of hall of famer?
And you will have to explain to me why Hutson cannot be as Dynamic offensively as Lane, and do try to come up with something more productive than 'well, psh, better skating!'
It’s not crazy . . . but it’s also not likely. And Hutson//Reinbacher they can have Hughes and Dobson impact. Looks Hughes NCAA season same age of Hutson, Hutson outproduced him. Look Dobson in a easily more league than Reinbacher NLA. Reinbacher put 22 pts in 46 games in NLA at his rookie year... that's outproduced season of Dobson in his Quebec league.
That's not crazy at all to think they can reach that type of impact.
Check, how good Demidov was, even at 16, number 23.
I think when us old guys simply say they remind me of ..... you have to think, how many snapshots of plays must be stored in our head? The longer we live those older snapshots start to fade... but the highlights remain... for ur fil to "think" of Kharlamov, is enough for me..I was talking to my father in law last week. He's not a scout, or hockey executive. He's just a fan of hockey like all of us. He's Russian, and he's been watching Russian hockey for many years.
I first asked him who he thought was better Michkov or Demidov. He said "Both are incredibly talented players. But if I had to choose one, I'd pick Demidov".
When I asked why, he said. "Demidov is the more complete player. Michkov may score more points. But in an important game, I'd rather have Demidov. His compete level is nothing like I've seen for many years".
When I asked him which current or former Russian player, was a good comparison to Demidov he replied. "He has some characteristics that remind me of Valeri Kharlamov"
For those of you too young to remember Kharlamov. I'd suggest you look him up on Youtube. He's considered to be one of top Russian born players of all time.
It's possible that the old guy had a few too many vodka shots. But I'm going to check out old clips of Kharlamov. To see if I see any similarities.
