“Good with G” as far as creating offense is concerned, which is separate from unlucky finishing issues.

And for the 100000th time, you can’t use raw points/goals to judge. 23 goals, considering the PP sabotage, would be great. The lower scoring of many is on the coaches.

The low scoring of “ALL” is on the coaches , agree.

What was our PP rank last 3 years ?

Giroux-Frost-TK
JVR-Hayes-Raffl
Pitlick-Laughton-NAK

I dont agree with Frost being on the 2nd line. You say you dont want Giroux with Hayes but you want to put JVR with him? JVR needs the puck on his stick. He is a shoot first player.
There are probably no easy answers to this if we also want to keep Farabee with Couts

PP rank is irrelevant when we're talking about individual players and the Giroux unit. Fluke goals from the 2nd unit would interfere with the numbers.

So you can see the massive difference before and after Gordon/AV f***ed it up.

Giroux needs the puck as much as possible to create chances for others, JVR only needs the puck when he's about to score a goal. There's a huge difference in styles and importance of puck possession.

On top of that, if the choice is between Giroux or JVR getting screwed over by Hayes then it's a no-brainer to pick the worse player.

That top 6 is ideal.
JVR with Hayes and Raff on 4th line is just begging for trouble, actually comically bad

Only mention I had of him was a tweeted a screenshot to my buddy who is the tsn 1290 host and they mentioned it on air for a segment if players read about themselves.

The PP was fine last year, we were just terribly unlucky. 5th in CF/60, 3rd in xGF/60, 2nd in HDCF/60...and 30th in shooting percentage. We shot under 10% on the PP (looking this up, the Lightning shot 22% on the PP last year?!). This year it's completely different story, we're 26th in CF/60, dead last in xGF/60, 28th in HDCF%.

Giroux, Ghost, Voracek, etc didn't suddenly become terrible, they're being completely misused.
