kappanin was a scratch for tonights game. didn't hear anything about him being injured.

I would call Frost up, but would spread out the lines a little bit more.

Farabee- Couturier - TK
Giroux - Hayes - NAK/Pitlick
JVR - Frost - Voracek
Raffl - Laughton - NAK/Pitlick

Giroux should never be with Hayes. Leave Hayes with people who won't be hurt by the puck hogging.

You could switch JVR and Giroux, but I don't know how that Hayes line would get through the neutral zone then. My goal was to give each line at least one guy who could somewhat carry the puck.

Personally, I'd probably go with...

Farabee-Couturier-Voracek
Giroux-Frost-TK
JVR-Hayes-Raffl
Pitlick-Laughton-NAK

IF Ghost is traded the return needs to be younger player and we win the trade.

Ghost for Ehlers
Ghost for Kapanen , 1st

You have to think Oskar won’t be back , so they will be looking to replace him in top 6.

Ghost for Carter would be horrible
Carter is the money we'd eat to make the deal cap neutral. I'd want kupari and durzi or a similar package

Just like Frost should never be with JVR. Jvr has no place when Frost returns sadly.

He can’t play with Hayes and is a waste on 4th line.

Farabee Couts Jake
G Frost TK
Laughton Hayes Pits

You could put G back with Couts, JVR with Frost and TK, and Farabee with Hayes and Pitlick.

Funny how Hayes cant seem to play with any of our skilled players...

Hmmm...

He’s playing very well right now. And don’t think anyone claimed Hayes is a Skill player per say.

JVR looks good with Couts, but who doesn’t.
JVR is a one trick pony unfortunately at this stage of his career

Hayes is playing decent right now. He has flashy success (like the shorthanded goals) but then he disappears for stretches where he plays pretty poorly, although during those times attention is always focused on the top players so he gets a pass from most. I also didn't say Hayes was a skill player, just that he doesn't seem to mesh well with them.

As for JVR, yeah he's good with Couts but he's also been very good with TK and Giroux. Outside of that he's been stuck in the bottom 6 or even on the 4th line for long stretches, which obviously didn't help.

Good with G, isn’t he one of your prime examples screwing G over on points ?

He’s a 7 mill dollar guy paid primarily to score goals and isn’t good defensively what should we be happy with 23 goals ?

He’s very streaky, but this teams needs consistency, we won’t have a 30 goal scorer, heck we may not have a 25 goal scorer.

“Good with G” as far as creating offense is concerned, which is separate from unlucky finishing issues.

And for the 100000th time, you can’t use raw points/goals to judge. 23 goals, considering the PP sabotage, would be great. The lower scoring of many is on the coaches.
