Blame - "To consider responsible for a misdeed, failure, or undesirable outcome:"
When one claims Giroux's lack of production is on linemates resulting in an undesirable outcome...blame
When one defends their favorite player by posting stats tirelessly to demonstrate that he is doing nothing wrong but the other players "failure to convert" has affected him ...blame
At this point, please reference first sentence to comprehend what blame means before attempting to absolve one's self with a statement like "Nobody has ever said JVR is to blame for Giroux's lack of points" That is exactly what was done, by definition
Then, when one follows that up and criticizes the coach for making those lines and putting those players together, and cites usage adnauseam as a misdeed...blame
And just to be clear; there is NOTHING wrong with taking that position. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and interpretation, of the stats, player, or both, and their affects on eachother. Even the coach's decision. It should be welcomed.
The toxicity and hypocrisy comes when one use's the same argument to defend a favorite player, and defends the other in a separate argument, as a productive player of the team.
Followed by taking liberties on other posters for taking a stance of their own on the "streaky player", but has no qualms throwing the same player under the bus in another argument, especially, and most importantly, when it helps to justify one's insistent attempt at coach bashing.
Truth is gonna truth
If one wants to take an authoritarian approach, perhaps double speak isn't the best tactic
