Ohgren - Rossi - Yurov
Beckman - Khusnutdinov - Haight

Lambos - Faber
ROR - Addison
Peart - Hunt

Wallstedt

A cup capable 2nd and 3rd line

An entire defense corps

Starting elite goalie

Not everyone will hit their peaks or even make it, but you can see why the pool is rated highly, that guy also had Boldy in it.

Hold your horses and let's see how these guys pan out before making such hyperbolic claims. We need to see they are NHL capable first.

The most docs agree (50/50 chance the Dr on here also agrees) that exercise is important.

Sure hope we don't have to wait till their D+6 year before they come over, like Kap. Otherwise, likely NHL arrivals ;

Ohgren(24) - Rossi(22) - Yurov(25)
Beckman(23) - Khusnutdinov(25) - Haight(25?)

Lambos(24) - Faber(23)
ROR(23) - Addison(22)
Peart(25) - Hunt(25)

Wallstedt(24?)

Having Kap here possibly helps the thought of them staying over there. Having him hear and a star they probably want to paly with him just like he looks up to Ovi.

That would be the glass completely full way of looking at things. Since Marat extended his KHL contract after saying earlier that he wanted to come over as soon as his previous contract was up, I have my doubts.

I dont recall there being the statement about coming over asap after his previous contract. things change though, EDIT: misremembered he was swapping VHL to MHL to KHL.

Kaprizov and Khusnutdinov signing extensions with the team they did is a little different than if Yurov re-upped with his current team for the length of time they did. The concern would be if he’s moved from his current team.

Two different situations.

- If Yurov does what Marat did, then he will be eligible to be over in the 27-28 season.

- If he does what Kap did he will be over in the 28-29 season.

Pressures in doing so with CSKA and how they are handling youth is quite a bit different than Metallurg.

We are going to be well represented at the WJC's, at least on D. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lambos, Hunt, and ROR all on Canada, and Faber and Peart on USA. Wallstedt is being counted on to carry SWE.

That's a pretty solid D group going forward(potentially), especially if you add Brodin and Spurgeon. Maybe Addison, too, as a PP guy.

Who do we have as candidates at forward? Yurov, Ohgren, Petrovsky and Haight?

No Russians participating, unless peace breaks out. I think Petrovsky makes it, but Haight is a long shot. Ohgren, for sure.

Somewhat notable that they invited Ohgren over Ostlund.

Should be a great tournament to watch, we have some significant role players on the top teams.

I think it’s dumb to punish young Russian players who have nothing to do with what their government is doing. Maybe that’s just me though…
Eh - without getting too political, those Russian players always had the option of going over to North America to play. There isn't an agreement between the two leagues...
