feels like more of recognition over anything else. Zero chance at an medals to showcase your country.Barely a drop in the puddle, maybe even a drop in the ocean, when it comes to money going in and out.

Which, again, punishes young people that don't/didn't have anything to do with it.feels like more of recognition over anything else. Zero chance at an medals to showcase your country.
indeed. i dont agree with it as it seems to create unneeded tension but without full being involved in the initial issue i suppose this is a way to retaliate nicely?Which, again, punishes young people that don't/didn't have anything to do with it.
I mean do we want to get into that slippery slope?Which, again, punishes young people that don't/didn't have anything to do with it.
And what slippery slope is that?I mean do we want to get into that slippery slope?
Discussing politics on the board. And what slippery slope is that?
The hockey players aren't the ones doing the political bullshit, but they are the ones getting punished for it. That's the problem.Discussing politics on the board.
It's a discussion for another forum, though. The hockey players aren't the ones doing the political bullshit, but they are the ones getting punished for it. That's the problem.
Why? It's directly having an impact on our prospects and this is our general prospect thread. It's a discussion for another forum, though.
You know exactly why, no need to poke at Bazeek for it. We all dislike the reasoning. Why? It's directly having an impact on our prospects and this is our general prospect thread.
Yurov not being at the WJCs is on-topic; the broader geopolitical reasons for Yurov not being at the WJCs is off-topic. That decision is completely independent of the Wild or any of its prospects. Why? It's directly having an impact on our prospects and this is our general prospect thread.
Just as long as they don't throw bricks. Maybe the paper brick kind?Think the flowers for Fleury thing is going to continue this year? Maybe it carries over to Wallstedt and we can start throwing Walleye on the ice
Someone better be picking them up and eating them…Think the flowers for Fleury thing is going to continue this year? Maybe it carries over to Wallstedt and we can start throwing Walleye on the ice
That would be the glass completely full way of looking at things. Since Marat extended his KHL contract after saying earlier that he wanted to come over as soon as his previous contract was up, I have my doubts.
Yup, once so much potential... didn't have anything been his ears though apparently.Bye bye Khovanov. Minnesota put him on waivers to release him.
Yep. Between the laziness and the clashes with the coaches - guy could have been a good player.Yup, once so much potential... didn't have anything been his ears though apparently.
Wild place Alexander Khovanov on unconditional waivers
The young player will be bought out of his contract.www.hockeywilderness.com
I view him as a bit of a cautionary tale when getting excited about the prospects the Wild draft, especially the ones from the early and mid 20's of the 1st round. I've seen a few people talking about the Wild prospect pool like it's full of can't miss talents, but sometimes guys fall in the draft for good reasons. Khovanov looked like he was on the fast track to a top-6 center job in the NHL two years ago. That's why I would prefer the Wild to just keep on drafting as many of those guys as they can. Spray and Pray, lots will miss but something's gonna hit.Bye bye Khovanov. Minnesota put him on waivers to release him.
Petrovsky will make the team, his role within the team is up for debate though. Most likely 4C.No Russians participating, unless peace breaks out. I think Petrovsky makes it, but Haight is a long shot. Ohgren, for sure.
I like that Yurov is ahead of Nazar and Ohgren is ahead of Korchinski. Wheeler is saying that we got better prospects at 19 and 24 than Chicago got at 7 and 13.Wheeler’s top 50 drafted prospects https://theathletic.com/3415068/2022/07/25/nhl-prospects-rankings/?source=user_shared_article
The Wild have 3 inside the top 30 with Rossi, Yurov, and Ohgren. 3 honorable mentions in Addison, Faber, and Lambos.
I find it interesting that it's an Under 23 Years Old list, and not one of his prospects is 22 years old, and only two of them are 21. Wheeler's got Shiny New Toy Syndrome.Wheeler’s top 50 drafted prospects https://theathletic.com/3415068/2022/07/25/nhl-prospects-rankings/?source=user_shared_article

But I did enjoy reading about the prospects. I won't deny that in spite of the list's flaws, I am entertained.
