What's the Greatest Goal of the Century?

Tons of my favorite goals are in this thread.

Most significant?
Eberle's 2009 WJC Game-tying goal with 5 seconds left. Shootout winner.
Crosby's golden goal.

Most iconic:
OV scoring on his back
OV spinning around Hamrlik and beating Price

Most ridiculous:
McDavid deking through the Rangers
Datsyuk Deke
Kane deke

Most hilarious:
Patrik Stefan Flub /Hemsky goal
Patrick Kane Cup winning goal non-call celebration.
That's good, really good!

This tops the ovi goal easily

Not 21th century, but The greatest in the meaning of importance for me (and millions czech fans), clearly Petr Svoboda's golden goal in Nagano 98

The greatest when I was speechless and didn't understand what happened, clearly Ovi and The Goal.

From recent years, Tkachuk's fourth overtime goal against Carolina. Epic

And then, unsurprisingly, many goals by McDavid, Datsyuk, Kane, Bure, Jagr and others

I like going back to goals that haven't been talked about much. I'd say that Ovechkin goal and Datsyuk's backhander vs the sharks are probably what I would consider the "best", but I like this one a lot too:

Bobby McMann's hat trick goal, showed those petulant children Sens players how to do it with #Class and he scored the hat trick. #GOAT

Ovechkin's goal is greatest of all-time
Would be hard to give the greatest goal ever to be against Coyote Phoenix Brian Boucher in January.

Gretzky-Lemieux 1987, Forsberg 1994, Yzerman, Henderson 1972, do you believe in miracle, Lemieux splitting the 2 North Stars players, Game 7 Sakic wrist shot on Scott Stevens-Brodeur, on the floor, on the board Paul Kariya !

That said Bure goal was often cited and it was pre-season, when they are so spectacular like Ovechkin on the back they can stay a candidate, but it has a hill to climb over relevant goals.

Crosby golden goal.

Bergeron' tying goal and OT winner in game 7 vs. The Leafs proved we live in a caring universe.

It won't get much love but the shootout goal in the 2014 Olympics with T.J. Oshie winning it for the US against Russia after going like five straight times was a great moment if not an individual goal. That sequence and the pressure adds to it I think.

I don't think it's the BEST, but that moment certainly is up there.

I understand that it was Game 7 double OT but this was only the conference semis and they lost to the Avs in the conference finals that year.

For me it's what ended up being the Stanley Cup winning goal. When McCarty pulled this off I knew there was no way the Wings were losing the series.

(I realize the OP is referring to this century. But it we're talking about big goals for the Wings I take this one over Yzerman's)

For best goal of this century it's gonna be picking one from a handful of goals by McDavid where he goes through the whole team and scores.
