Century= 100 years. By your definition this thread should be locked until year 2100 since there's still over 75 years of hockey left to play.

No one, and I can't stress this enough, considers anything within the last 100 years "this century". When the OP said "of the century", like any sane person, they meant since 2000 because the 2000s is a different CENTURY than the 1900s. If they said "the first 100 years of the NHL" only then would you consider years outside the century you're in.
