Yeah. I wonder if "too good to be true" caused skepticism as well. That's usually a red flag that the fine print is going to be a doozy.I suspect a major amount of No voters (as many as half) just assumed it was tax money on the line and they didn’t want to pay more taxes for this. Even though they wouldn’t have had to. Nobody did the expensive, hard work of educating them on that.
Edit: And I'm sure they didn't take the time to read the fine print to make sure. That's what a good campaign was for.
