Lewis makes your blood boil?

I don't know why, but I thought you liked Lewis. Personally, I was surprised by the extension, but then again, I'm just glad he's no longer on our 3rd line. I'm ok with Lewis as our 4RW.

Never liked the Lewis signing, on record saying so in that resign thread.

It takes a roster spot away from someone like Andy/Shore/Vey.

The Bottom six has to change, Clifford/Lewis/Nolan/Stoll. the Kings need more production out of this group.

I don't include King cause he had 15 goals, I mean did anyone see that guy potting 15g ?

But King also has to not go long slumps next year.

I will seriously flip out if King gets a major raise. Outside of his hot streak, he's done NOTHING. The top six, defense, and goaltending (obviously) doesn't concern me one bit. It's the atrocious, complacent, and consistently non-productive bottom six that pisses me off.

Hopefully this is the start of Muzzin's game leveling off.

In all honesty, this series being tied 2-2 was expected. The sad thing is that the 2nd period may have been the Kings' best performance thus far in the 2nd round, and they had nothing to show for it except for great Corsi and Fenwick numbers, right?

Yeah, I too would have like to see our prospects get a shot, but that's just Deano, being Deano. He's going to continue to roll with those who's been there.

As for King, he scored most of those goals playing on the top 6. As our bottom 6, he really doesn't bring much to the table. I don't dislike King, but he can be replaced.

The series could be over. Truly. Those first two games were damn close. I'm not throwing in the towel, but damn, this team needs to get some of it's mojo back. Hopefully we see a strong performance in Game 5. I'm expecting it.

And for god's sake. Quit giving Anaheim free power plays.

Then this will really piss you off.

Clifford+Lewis over the last two years (this is combined folks)

47 points , 21 goals 240 NHL games. 2 + million cap hit's(combined cap hit).

Dwight King"

124 NHL games, 20 goals 40 points, Below 800k Capt hit.

King is not a problem (yet)

neutral fan here with some observations..have watched very little of the Kings this year but watched all of tonight...a few questions/comments...

1. I don't think you played badly, given you gave up only 3 shots in the last 40 minutes..that's actually pretty sick...if you put that together for an extended time, you'll still win the series..

2. John Gibson played well but was not seriously challenged...why so much trouble getting guys in front of the net..your forwards are huge..

3. every time I saw Martin Jones this year I like what I see...is there any chance he actually starts game 5...he looks more athletic than Gibson..what is his positional play like? mental strength?

4. Wow Richards doesn't look like the same player of his rep....what happened to him?

We go on a 6 game winning streak, look great and dimwit Sutter has to change whats working??? There's no defending him with his stupid coaching moves. Im convinced he's just not all there upstairs.

Oh and can I have my 2g's back from the last 2 games? That has to be two of the worst games I've been to at Staples or the Forum.

A complete nightmare is what it was.

I know right ?

By sheer BLIND LUCK, they both combined should have around 50 goals in 240 NHL games.

Kevin Westgarth had Four goals in 36 NHL games this year.

Lewis managed Six goals a career high for him.....Clifford had three in 71 games. I remember two of them came in one game if I am correct.

Ughhh

It's like almost a crime to talk bad about Sutter on here lol. You'd think he was a god by the way he dodges blame for his own decisions lol

Are you trying to get me worked up? :shakehead

This is simply pointing out a problem and not offering a solution.

We didn't look good in Anaheim, if you look at it from an unbiased point of view.

We were lucky to escape with a win in game 1. And we went into prevent mode in game 2 and survived that.

We looked like total excrement both games in Staples. Worst two playoff games I've ever had the misfortune to witness first-hand. Just so disappointed. This is not championship caliber. Not at all.

Honest with myself, Team has been Jekyll and Hyde all year.

You just never know which team is going to show up.

I do truly believe Game five will be a good effort though.

We all knew the script before the team even took the ice. They suck against backups. This guy's a backup to a backup. I hope Hiller goes postal and puts poison in everyone's water during practice.

Explosive diarrhea to Anaheim from Hiller. #RP5 #soonerthanlater #takeittothebank #subscribetomypodcastformore #seewhatididthere?

Through 4 games thus far in the 2nd round:

Kopitar, 0 goals, 5 assists
Getzlaf, 1 goal, 5 assists

Gaborik, 3 goals, 2 assists
Perry, 1 goal, 2 assists

Carter, 1 goal, 1 assist
Selanne, 2 goals, 0 assists

Richards, 1 goal, 1 assist
Bonino, 0 goals, 1 assist

Doughty, 0 goals, 1 assist
Fowler, 0 goals, 2 assists

Voynov, 0 goals, 0 assists
Vatanen, 0 goals, 3 assists

Brown, 0 goals, 1 assist
Smith-Pelly, 1 goal, 0 assists

Martinez, 2 goals, 0 assists
Lovejoy, 1 goal, 0 assists

The only productive player on the Kings' blueline has been Martinez, and the Kings top two productive players generated most of their offense in Game 1.

The Ducks' top stars started to pick up their play in Game 3, when Sutter decided to not matchup lines in his favor. A head scratching move that has pretty much allowed the Ducks to come back. The Kings have done themselves no favors in scoring 2 goals over the past two games, one of which was done with the goalie pulled.

The role players on the Kings aren't doing enough to alleviate pressure from the top players on the team, and the top players have to perform as the best players on the ice, otherwise the Kings are not going to advance to the Conference Finals.

Kings are 1-9 against Third(string) or injury replacement back-up's this year by my count.

That's funny, that's exactly what I thought would happen in game 4. Silly me.

I don't know Ron , something about Staples this year.

Kings are not getting up for home games, been that way since the break if you ask me.

Beating the Ducks (and leaving no doubt) is within the Kings' ability. The Kings just need to play like they did in the second period, and not wait to be in a hole before playing like that.
