I don't even think Richards has been playing well on the Fourth line.

That's your guy's eyes playing tricks on you.

Since this series has started the Kings have had one good Center(Kopitar).

2-4 have sucked pretty much since game one.

Carter/Stoll/Richards have been getting outplayed since Game one of this series.

At this point I would move Richards to wing, keep him away from the Center ice position.

Maybe even move Carter back to wing, he is hurt (obviously) and not shooting or defending.

Kings have been weak down the middle these last four games, it finally showed up on the scoreboard.

He hasn't played well anywhere, which is why you leave him on the 4th line, matched up against the sorriest competition possible. Then at least he doesn't totally screw you over. Or you think like Sutter and put him out against the other teams top line and watch it cost you the game.

Look, I like Richards and I like Sutter, but there is absolutely no reason that Richards should be anywhere but the 4th line. None. Maybe the Kings don't win with him there either, but at least it gives them the best chance, and that is exactly what the coach's decisions are supposed to do, give you the best chance. Not cost you games because you have a candy assed obsession with Hallmark moments about the good ol' days when Richards didn't suck.

I noticed last night those lines Sutter made became the team's undoing last night.

If Carter were indeed injured, activate Vey/2nd line-worthy C from the farm or move up Trevor Lewis to the 2nd line, especially when he has the speed and can play C. Alternately, move up Justin to the 2nd line.

Wait, according to the Kings' official website active roster page, they just activated Sabourin.

I just find it pointless to waste a guy now, only to lose him for the next season; case in point: Willie Mitchell, during the 2013 shortened season.

I'm thinking on paper:

Gaborik-Kopitar-Brown
Pearson-Toffoli-Williams or Pearson-Lewis-Toffoli
King-Stoll-Williams or King-Stoll-Nolan
Clifford-Richards-Lewis or Clifford-Richards-Sabourin

Gabbo-Kopi-Toffoli
Pearson-Carts-Brown
King-Stoll-Williams
Cliff-Richards-Sab

*Lewis

Muzz-Doughty
Bods-Voynov
Schultz-Greene

Quick

Yes.

Where is Martinez? He has been arguably the best D some games. And has 2 saves in net. I think Bodnarchuk would do well, but only if Schultz or Greene was failing and they have both been decent. Sabourin? I don't think he's ready. Nick Shore would be a possibility. Nolan would be in before either of them.

I forgot Martinez..

I wish Backes was our 2C. It'd be so fun to see him constantly losing his mind and destroying people.

Trevor Lewis as our 2nd line center? What in the name of all things holy?

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: It's over. The Anaheim Ducks have won the PR Stanley Cup. Serving media In-N-Out burgers during practice http://t.co/1gmHQcvKNK

I much rather have the Los Angeles Kings win the actual Stanley Cup; I live walking distance to In-N-Out.

Who do you have in your mind instead? Vey or Sabourin?

You know we're gonna be in Anaheim right? I sure don't want to see Vey/Sabourin and ANYONE vs. Getzlaf/perry...

Anyone saying Sutter was outcoached last night is off base. Let's not forget which team took over an hour to finally get a shot on goal. Jones could have had a nap in net.

Sutter and his staff have been telling guys since day one to move the puck and not let four opposing players line up in your shooting lane yet that's exactly what happened time after time. The Kings moved the puck like it was a hand gernade and made it way to easy for the Ducks to see where the shot was coming from.

That though is the only thing the Ducks did right all night after the first period, we spent a ton of time in their zone, the Ducks did sweet **** all after the opening period. We lost that game on the ice, not behind the bench. Sutter's pulling of Quick was a brilliant move, really woke the team up.

Agree with the last part, and I said top-to-bottom so as not to absolve the players, but yes, I think Sutter got outcoached last night. Not by Boudreau, but by himself. He actively went away from everything that went right in the first two games into game 3, then took the losing game 3 formula exactly the same into game 4. It's hard to make sense of, imo. And yes, it was the players' game to execute and lose, but since you were talking about sloppy puck movement, I'd attribute at least some of that to the line blender. I mean, to me, it just says someone has to be banged up/injured otherwise it's inexplicable, but I think it's just as off-base to completely absolve Sutter of responsibility as it would be to blame him entirely.

nobody walks to in and out. Either they drive or they roll up on their rascal scooters.

That being said, very weird game. Especially the decision to pull Quick.

I think the fact that move had so much shock value for the fans speaks volumes about what it probably meant to everyone else in the building!
