Again with this,

So Carter and Richards have played what ? maybe 12 minutes of ice time together the last two games ?

Serious man......That is not the reason the Kings have lost two games.

With the way Carter has played this whole series, does anyone even really want him in the top six ?

Coincidentally the King's really sucked in the San Jose series when Carter and Richards played together. Also they were on the ice together tonight for a goal.

It only takes a split second to change the dynamic of a game. Those 2 should absolutely not play together right now.

The worst thing to happen in this series was Sutter f-ing with the lines and match up choices in games 2 and 3, and Andersen getting injured. Why keep things that are working when you can try and over coach games and **** things up instead.

Dumpster fire all year.......

Deserves it.

I do the same to Kopitar/Doughty/Quick ETC.

Matter of fact Doughty has been average the last two games, that has hurt the Kings.

Doughty can't play average, he has to be god like for the Kings to have any chance.

The D is just not deep enough with Slava not producing.

Well, your boy Sutter doesn't seem to share your view.

I just think it's silly for you to be knocking VV, when it's DS and his lineup screwup that lost this game.

I don't care if Richards scores a hat trick. Keep him on the 4th line!!!

Kings would have still lost both games with the same lines.

The Ducks played much better....

The Kopitar line has remind unchanged and has been shut down.

Even with last change matching up with and away from Getzlaf.

Who didn't have a sick feeling in their stomach when you saw Richards out there centering Carter and Pearson in the opening game faceoff???

To be honest, I almost expected it. It was classic Sutter, they were coming off a loss and Richards played pretty well and scored a goal. Usually the way this pattern has gone with Sutter, he brings him up to the 2nd line after playing well on the 4th line, he returns to garbage on the 2nd line for a few games and Sutter demotes him again. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Everyone back off the bandwagon! Series is over! :sarcasm:

Confident the Kings win Game Five regardless of the what the lineup is.

Quick will steal a game.

Game Seven will be a coin toss.

Williams will have to come up big again in a game Seven.

Oh believe me, I was holding my breath as well.

And like I mentioned on the GDT, Sutter's more interested in rewarding Richards and getting his game going, than he is in putting out the best lineup.

This series was NEVER going to be easy, anyone who thought otherwise is foolish. I think we get it done.

Pretty much, the Ducks are a good team.

I felt the Kings wouldn't win a single game at home in this series, still think that.

Hawks will go Seven games as well.

Still believe it's Hawks/Kings in the WCF.

Coin toss if you ask me , Cause the Hawks are banged up and not playing with that ridiculous pace they had last year.

What winning lineup ?

The Lineup was the same to start that awful loss in Game three , lineup started the same for this awful First period performance(and loss as well).....

The same players are on the ice, What lineup changes has Sutter made ?

So he put Richards with Carter for about 18 minutes of ice time for the last two games combined, and that's the reason the Kings have played like garbage ?

You guys.....come on.

Dude, I respect you, but you're smoking the same **** as Daryl Evans is on Kings' talk.

Sutter made the changes to start game 3. After a 6 game winning streak. For no reason. He also went away from the Kopitar/Getzlaf matchup to start game 3.. The one that Boudreau was desperate to get away from. He maintained these choices for game 4, and we lost both games.

Kopitar had plenty of time against Getz tonight. Put up a Zero.

Again sure it's ALL Sutter's fault , They lost.

Move on folks.

Sutter is still the coach tomorrow. The Lineup will be the same.

Hope the Kings show up.

They better have the better first period, I am sure they players aren't going to use the excuse (O well Sutter changed the lines).

GET IT DONE.

I think these playoffs have shown us that Mike Richards is an excellent 4th line center and a terrible 2nd line center.

I just hope Sutter returns the lines back to normal, we may not win with the game 1-3 lines, but we certainly won't win with the game 4 lines.

If Sutter keeps the lines the same the Kings come home Wed facing elimination.

DMac,

Why did you feel the Kings wouldn't win a single game at home all series but would go 4-0 in Anaheim? I mean I guess your 4/7 of the way to being right but what gave you that idea?

Over the last 4 series they've played the Kings were 9-2 at home and 3-10 on the road.

Something about this year at home.

The Kings have no killer instinct at Staples this year. Way too many first periods like these last two.

I was silently glad the Kings didn't get home ice this year. The away record and effort since the Games was much better.

ANH has played like garbage at home since the games, regardless of their home record.

The Kings all year (my opinion) have been way too lax at Staples.

Guys... enough already with the Sutter bashing. It's silly.

The Kings didn't score a goal tonight. That's not Sutter. Anything but, honestly.

Why can't we discuss Sutter's unusual coaching decisions?

I think it's a valid question as to why he made so many changes when the team had been playing well.

You say we didn't score a goal, but when you have four lines capable of generating offense and you are down to one because of the coaching decisions then yes he does deserve plenty of the blame for the shutout. Everyone knew the Kings weren't getting an ES goal from any line other than Kopitar's. He has TT on line 4, he has a 2nd line with zero chemistry, it goes on and on.

And once again, why is it ok to mock Carlysle in the other thread about advanced stats but we can't do it in this thread. If an opposing coach were to continue to send out a duo as bad as 77 and 10 we would be laughing at them, but we can't discuss it here? You like to make fun of Joe Thornton's playoff chokes year after year and that it's crazy SJ keeps going with him, and I agree with you, but isn't it equally as crazy that DS keeps going back to 77 and 10, aren't both classic examples of Einstein's definition of insanity?

I think it's a more than valid discussion to have.
