Saw the above quote on the Sharks board. Made me think, hey, they're right. What, 30 seconds left and Rick's goal gets the Kings within one. There is no quit in this team and that's a positive to take from this game.

Meh, everything's gonna be magnified on here. The Kings could easily be down 3-0. I'm expecting a better effort on Saturday and I'm sure we'll all see it. Case closed.

I'm not convinced of the "Kopitar wasn't playing well" line of thought. True, he didn't look his best, but a Kopitar even not at his best is better than the 3rd/4th line if for nothing else than he's far less likely to make bad decisions. And that may change as the game goes on if he can find his groove. Same goes for the other guys on the 1st line.

It could be possible he's nursing something but even that's questionable because none of the guys on the 1st two lines got a lot of ice time compared to their counterparts. Of our top guys the only non D who got 17 minutes or more was Carter, who himself was supposedly nursing an injury last game. Meanwhile Getzlaf and Perry were both pushing 22 minutes.

If you look at their top guys and our top guys, theirs mostly averaged about 4 minutes more TOI each than ours did tonight. I don't understand why.

Slava's whole season has just been a complete dumpster fire....Top to Bottom.

The Cherry on top was team Russia's awful play during the Games.

Slava is not going to get dealt, but he sure needs to pick up his play next year.

He was pretty bad tonight for sure. He just looked nervous all night for some reason. At least he didn't break a stick or knock a goal in himself.

Who cares about the ice time, the entire team took a huge dump on the ice (sans Quick/Schultz)....

Really guys.....Getzlaf and Perry (I think) didn't even win the Ducks the game....They were one instance away from being complete non factors in this game with all their ice time.

Disappointed in a very uninspired game by the Kings. Sat on my hands most of the game.

They better bring it in game 4.

Well Kopi, Gaborik, etc would have had more ice time if the effin refs would call more freakin penalties. I'm not one to blame the refs but my goodness are you freakin kidding me one freakin penalty the whole game.

The Whole team was flat. Which could be a reason Sutter spread the ice time.

Yeah they were. This was just a weird game. No energy on the ice, no energy in the stands, no Nick & Daryl on the speakers in the concourse. Just an all around ****fest. I don't even think the Ducks imposed anything on the Kings, the Kings just sucked. But hey, they won, so hat's off to them.

I would not mind some juicy Hiller rebounds.

Anderson was punting the puck into the slot all night but no King would go there.

I don't even think Getzlaf made that big of difference in this game, it was more of the Kings not showing up to play.

Yup.

Schultz is damn good(so far). Makes me think RR is not the problem on the second pairing or Mitchell....

It is Slava's responsibility to move the puck, lets face it, he sucks at it this year.

He's overthinking everything and not putting any strength on anything. It's like he's playing with the puck out away from his body too far so he's always over-reaching. Not getting anything on his shots, his clearing attempts, his passes. I'm not that worried about his future yet, he's still young, but he needs to get some confidence back.

The Kings aren't trading a 24 year old right handed defenseman who has played well before this season, and has played just over the equivalent of 2 full NHL seasons.

That's exactly why he should be dealt - other GMs would highly value a 24 yr old RH defenseman with a Cup Ring. That means the Kings would get superior value for him,
because Voynov has stalled, peaked and actually on a downward slope. It's not like he has been mediocre for a dozen games, it's 1.5 years now.

At least Carter looks healthier. Onto the next game. 2-1 series still up. Home game Saturday. Sutter will be smarter too. Kings got the next one.

And andersen is hurt, another positive.

I think he should be dealt, as that 4.167 is needed to sign Gaborik and get Gravel under contract...and in return, the Kings will get good value for him.

Gravel in his 2 way, rookie max 925K deal that won't count at all against the cap when he doesn't make the Kings? Really?

Voynov is a legitimate 2nd pairing D. 4.167 is a pretty fair if not bargain for a 2nd pairing D. How quickly people forget about Jaroslav Modry playing top pairing for the LA Kings, there's only so many D around Voynov is a quality one.

Knew the team was in trouble when Lewis looked lazy from the beginning. Guy can't score to save his life, but he's always upbeat and ready, which wasn't the case tonight.

Slava seems like he's struggling to find the right mode for himself. He can't decide what kind of defensemen he is either. He's just confused, really.

People are so quick to turn on Voynov, he's had one bad year.

He's been instrumental and so clutch before this season. He will bounce back.

It's not 1.5 years now. Just this year. He set the record for Kings D in playoff goals last year!

Who the hell is this guy and where is the impulsive poster we all know that wants to jettison everyone to Mars after a bad shift?

And your boy Schultz is KILLING it.
