There were over 2,000 tix on Stubhub alone the day before the game. Not sure how many else were out there. While I'm sure plenty of loyal fans are flocking to the game, so are many bandwagoners. I'd say the lack of energy from the Kings and lack of flow to the game also influenced the lack of reaction from the attending crowd.

I am going to disagree with this. Most of the crowd is wearing jerseys, and those cost $150 + a pop. I don't think bandwaggoners go to those lengths. Plus most are wearing caps along with the jerseys, add another $40.

I agree with Tony. Kings brought nothing to the game, and that's it. I love to cheer my team, yesterday, I wanted to take a nap. But the music was too loud.

Now, I will say this. I stupidly bought a third season ticket and its been a headache all season long. However, during the playoffs, I have made a killing off it. I sold each of these two games for $350 a pop. I think a lot of STH are selling those tickets, that is why you see 2,000 seats available. People see $$$ in their eyes. But I have to say most STH are going to the games.

I went to three playoff games last year and went to Game 6 against the Sharks this year, and the crowd was very much into all of those games. I guess we can just chalk it up to the Kings' lackadaisical play as being a reason why the crowd wasn't into it.

If you want to talk about dead crowds, check out the games in MSG in the 2nd round. The Penguins just completely silenced Rangers fans with the way they've embarrassed their team on the ice.

The crowd was dead because I had to travel to sharks territory for work. Sorry guys! I'll bring it game 6 (if there is one) or next round.

I got rid of my season tickets a few years back and no loner work in DTLA so haven't been going to games as much. The cost of the games in the playoffs has skyrocketed and I'm content to just watch at home. I can't stomach paying $100 and risk a game like the other night. I'd rather spend the money on drugs and hookers.

I've had seats since 2001-02.

DaDucks and I had the Morrissey show in Santa Ana so I sold my two tickets and my friends sold the other two tickets on my account due to some prior engagements. Selling $23 tickets for $119 after fees is very tempting, although I would have gone if not for the show. Selling these did allow me to buy tickets to Game 1 in Anaheim so I have to thank Morrissey for prompting me to essentially trade out of last night's garbage for the greatness that was Game 1.

I'm sure the crowd will be better on Saturday. The crowd will be much more drunk since it is a Saturday night plus this game is more important than last night's. Me and my boys will be taking the train and will be drinking accordingly. It will get loud.
