Wow just wow, you're on the verge of gettin on my ignore list and that's hard to do.

We weren't saying the refs gave them the game but there were some **** calls that tipped the balance, not that there was much.

Right.

Kings lost the game on their own when they didn't rebound from the **** reffing. That's not whining about the refs, that's about calling a spade a spade and also being honest about your own play. The Kings didn't deserve to win tonight and put themselves in those bad situations in the first place but there were two game changing plays that further broke us.

I've played a lot myself and you don't dwell on that. You just get pissed off and play that much harder next time. But that doesn't mean you flat out ignore it as a fan.

Check out these "professionals" airing their crap out on Twitter. Ugh.

Cam Cole ‏@rcamcole 29m
I've pretty much decided to play out the remainder of my career without talking to Jonathan Quick. He'll be OK with this, I think.

Ray Ratto ‏@RattoCSN 28m
@rcamcole He wasn't fun?

Cam Cole ‏@rcamcole 26m
@RattoCSN How to put this politely in a public forum? Uh ... can't be done.

Ray Ratto ‏@RattoCSN 26m
@rcamcole He's a conversational toad?

Cam Cole ‏@rcamcole 23m
@RattoCSN Think Randy Johnson, but without the charm.

Honestly... Who the **** is Cam Cole? You know what? Never mind. **** him and the horse he rode in on.

:)

Meh i think most people have wanted some of those players gone at some point during the season. (Myself included)

Everytime i noticed #74 on the ice i thought if Bermuda King lol

Was gonna make a Photoshop of Kings as the Bermuda Triangle, but he isn't worth my energy.

Frustrated a-holes who couldn't pot a puck from 3 feet. Don't pay them any attention, especially Ratto...that guy cries in his coffee every time the Sharks get **** on in the playoffs. He's had a real bad past couple of weeks. :/

I did my part. Finish him off...

Yeah, and I don't really care what the bug-eyed fat walrus thinks. Or that other guy who I had to Google.

I'd probably be frustrated too if I was a reporter and tried to get anything out of Quick other than "focus on the next game" :)

And ugh, what a miserable game that was. Gonna try not to read much into it but the Kings haven't done much to take control of this series so far, they could just as easily be trailing. I was hoping they'd do THEMSELVES a favor and try to end it as fast as possible to get some rest for the next round but from what I've seen from this team over the years is that they won't truly play hard as a team unless they're backed into a corner.

Nobodies doing the Kings any favors. Especially the Kings.

Tone was set by Anaheim in the first five minutes of the game. Huge hit on Doughty, the chirping, movement by their defense. Kings players were just not in it.

It's like in spite of them seeing themselves pull off a comeback from 0-3, they still got complacent with their 2-0 lead.

And now we're resorting to saying the refs handed the Ducks the game? Come on, I would hope that we're better than that.

Not to talk about all the damn missed calls, but the high stick on Williams has to be called. It's not like its away from the play, It was ****ing obvious. Score stays 2 to 1 and puts the kings on the power play. Considering all the scoring was done on the pp up to that point, your damn right im going to ***** about the refs.

Did the kings play like crap? Yup. But this game was handed to the ducks.

Wasn't there a blatant trip of an ANA player in the Kings zone that wasn't called just before the high stick on the other end of the ice?

Gimme a break, there were plenty of us that were saying that the refs gave them the game. Just check the GDT (that is, if you can still see this post). It was embarrassing because it sounded like the Sharks board after game 6.

EDIT: man, not even in the GDT, just a few posts later in THIS thread.

Sorry to pick on you, Winger23...

Yeah, handed to them by the Kings' crappy play. Richards and Stoll knew what they were talking about during their postgame interviews. Play better next game. I'm just glad that the Ducks blew their "desperation" wad in a game when the Kings got complacent. I will be surprised if they can match that level of desperation next game.

Despite playing crappy, they were right there in the game. Doughtys hook happened all game long on both sides. Lewis penalty was deserved. Should have been a 1 to 1 game. I'm not one to get pissed about officiating but Jesus man, I don't know how you can look at this game and not see the screw job.

I understand they let them play and only call obvious penalties late in the game. High sticking is an automatic call.

3 power plays in a game infested with hooking, interference, high sticking, tripping, all on both sides. It's just disgusting.

Kings lost the game on their own merit. quit trying to hang it on the refs. as a player you play your game and dont focus on what you can't control. the refs will make bad calls and miss some calls, but everyone knows it evens out over time.

grow up people and quit crying

Kings could be down 2-0 so I'm happy with a potential split in LA. Either way, I expect changes in Game 4. Not too worried as the Ducks were playing with tons of desperation. Getzlaf especially.

Boudreau gonna keep us all guessing...

Needs BBQ sauce on its face.

One thing I love when I come on here is to see who the next whipping boy will be for the next month. Voynov has a lot of talent and value, add to that he is young. I am not happy with his play as of late, but I do believe he will turn it around, and I think anyone who wants him dealt this off season is taking dumb pills.

Sometimes you just don't have it as a team on a particular night. It's not like the Kings didn't try to go up 3-0, but they just didn't play well enough to do it. They've all been through this before, they know the situation they're in. There's always another team out there trying to win too.

It's a playoff series. You win some, you lose some. Get calls, don't get calls. As long as you don't lose 4 out of 7 games, you're good to go.

Somehow I get the feeling the Kings are gonna let the Ducks go up 3-2 before turning it around and winning the last two ;)

Two theories:

1) Kopitar's hurt or worn out, so Sutter's limiting his ice time

2) Sutter's limiting Kopi's ice time in games that are not really must win games to preserve him as much as possible, hurt or not hurt. Kopi played 26 minutes in game 1, Kings won taking home ice advantage. Game 2 wasn't a must win (still could have lost and had HIA), so Kopi played 16 mins and we still won. This meant we could afford to lose one at home, Kopi plays 16 mins in game 3 and we lose.

If theory 1 is correct, I'd expect 16-18 minutes out of Kopi again in game 4. If its theory 2, Sutter goes back to leaning on Kopitar on Saturday and we see him log 20 minutes in regulation (assuming the game stays close the whole way). If we win, he goes back down to 16-18 for game 5.

Lot of people dumping on Voynov. Yes he has not been playing as good, but I think it is because he is now the top dog on his pairing and he needs to cover for his partners goof ups.
It is a lot easier for Muzzin to look good playing with DD than Voynov playing with Greene.

Looked like Beleskey slid into the boards back first. My first thought was a back problem when he got up.

I know Playoff injury reports are as vague as they come but didn't Anaheim say lower body injury?
So yes it must have been a total head shot.

Some nights you can tell Drew Doughty wants to win the game all by himself. He's great, but he can't stickhandle past five Ducks and score by himself. The rest of the team plays a good team game, and Drew goes all Lone Ranger and traps everyone but Muzzin. That's a terrible play that ends up in a game winning goal.

I know he's young and wants to win badly, but at some point you have to trust your team and your team philosophy. When Drew Doughty has maturity in his game, he's going to win that Norris. He could be Scott Niedermeyer or Nik Lidstrom, but he's gonna have to figure out his limitations.
