The bugs are awful. I had to do one of the castle sieges three times because every time I got to a certain point I would levitate into the sky until I died. Finally just did the siege without going by that area but it was super annoying. And one time I was carrying a chest and I walked through a puddle and the chest magically disappeared into the puddle and I had to die and start the mission over because I couldn’t recover the chest. It’s wild how many bugs there are at this point.
To be fair it was a lot easier to clip through the ground and fall straight to the center of the earth’s core back then.

Took a little hiatus from gaming but finally finished up the FF7 Remake Yuffie DLC.

I can't believe how awesome this whole remake project has been so far. Bangin' soundtrack, cool new combat, and even Fort Condor was a neat little addition (that I assume will be a part of Episode 2 of the Remake).

Might replay an old game or two before moving onto Horizon Zero Dawn and Elden Ring in a few weeks.

I'm replaying Skyrim atm waiting for HZD:FW. I haven't played it for 5 years. Its old, its clunky, and I love it to death.
Can't say enough about the voice acting in this game -- includes heavy hitters like Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman)
and Claudia Christian (Helga from Atlantis).

My step brother was one of the producers of that game and the Fallout series. One t-giving dinner he mentioned how awesome it was to have real, professional voice talent. I'm not sure what previous game that might've been a problem on, but they clearly upped the stakes and it paid off.

Is it too much to ask for 4k 60fps on the next gen consoles that were advertised as such

Dying light 2 running at 1080p on performance mode and QUALITY mode is ridiculous. And 30fps just doesn't cut it anymore. Other (better) developers have managed it, like with ghost of tsushima, or at least given 1440p with 60fps and ray tracing like spiderman. It's a shame you have to shell out thousands for a gaming pc to get that kind of experience across all games

I'm usually not a mmo or rpg guy but lost ark is pretty good. It's also free.

Only thing is it's pc only.

Not a fan of the 'mouse only' movement setup, will see if I can get use to it. Might try a controller, some say it works pretty well
yeah i am used to awsd from my wow time so clicking around takes getting used to

Horizon Zero Dawn: Forbidden West a smash hit, according to IGN, who gives it an enthusiastic score of 9:

Horizon Forbidden West Review - IGN

The skill tree, which was a major weakness of the first game, is this time around huge and interesting and you can customize your character specifically to your playstyle. I'm already chomping at the bit.

The most anticipated game of the year, bar none. Take a back seat there Elden Ring.

Agreed. No, HZD:FW looks like the real deal, and I am so amped about the new, huge skilled tree. That was the only weakness to the last game.
It wasn’t the only weakness but it was certainly one of the more glaring ones. The climbing was terrible too and it limited your ability to explore the world. There were a few other minor things as well but it was a terrific game and this one looks like it’ll be even better.

The climbing, a lot of the rambling or corny dialogue, and IMO the somewhat limited weapons options.

Dealing with the ever-increasing pile of useless weapons mods was also tedious.

But yeah, great game. Definitely will play the sequel.

Conflicted about buying this now as PS4 or waiting until I pull the trigger on the PS5 which might not be soon.
